anyone put the 35w or 55w 9006 in the stock LC fog lights? if so how are the results.

I just joined in and ordered two 55w 9006 5000k units and two wiring kits. one for the low beams and one for the stock fogs. I cant wait. I am very excited. should be a big improvement. I bought the HIR's a few years ago for about the same amount of money and was very unimpressed as i saw no improvement.
I went with the 35w H1 kit.
Does the 35w kit work without the additional harness?
for the 4000s with hella wiring harness, the answer is yes. For the headlights with toyota harness, the answer is no. I am unsure about factory fog light harness, since the IPFs were too shallow to attempt.
i wont have any trouble running the 55w 9006 in the factory fogs in the landcrusier
2000UZJ mentioned that headlight harness was about 3-4 amps max. Are you thinking that the factory harness will provide the 7amps to fire the ballasts? I'm just wondering, since I don't know?

You correct. The ballast for the 35W kit is around 5.5-6.0AMPs on startup whereas the 55W kit is about 7AMPs depending on conditions. I read online (one of the toyota spec sheets, I'll see if I can find it agian) that the factory 100 harness produces a maximun of 4.3AMPs max. As for the fog light harness, I wouldn't believe it would be more. I'm almost positive that the 35W kit would still need the harness. I wouldn't order a kit without it again. I'd much rather pull the AMP's from the battery rather than put the stress on the factory harness and risk shorting/blowing something.
Yes, I regret not ordering the harness. I will not install the headlight kit until I get one.

1 for each HID kit. DDM tuning makes them, not sure about wire length and quality. But you can always make your own and cut the wires the correct length and use a higher quality relay.

i bought two wiring kits one for lows one for fogs
Will this harness work? Its quite a bit cheaper shipped and in stock.
I went ahead and bought the eBay harness, will report back when I receive it.
Let us know how the fogs hold up to the heat generated by the 55W HIDs.

55W HID's in the fogs seems overkill to me.
I'm still planning on building a completely custom wiring harness for the 55W headlight HID kit. One that is the correct length for the 100 application. I will document it and post here on MUD. Just need the time, I'm mid way through a house remodel that is taking up all my time.

Finally got someone on the phone today. He was pretty defensive at first..... I am guessing they have been getting a few calls. Once I explained I only wanted an update he sort of relaxed. Everything shipped today and I did get a tracking number. He did say that the wiring harness was delayed until March 4th and somehting about a lot of their product being held up by customs.......

My kit arrived today minus the wiring harness. I did get an email after I talked to them that it was on back order until an eta of 3/3...today.
The kit looks good. I cant wait to get in as soon as the harness arrived. It did not come with double sided tape like 2000UZJ's did or the bracket that AATLAS1X said his came with. So, I need to figure a way to secure these... Any suggestions?

My $9 ones from eBay cane in 5 day and I put the two other sets in the fog 9006 and high beams 9005 and went for a drive.
I also used Toyota Die electric grease and slathered the fittings as the can and will get wet.
HOLY FAWK! Bright, crisp and clean. I have had my low beams for a few month I think now with no issues.
I also cranked the drivers down 1" at 12'
And Elite window tint removed all the tint from my rig including the sunroof and re tinted the whole thing minus the sunroof........
