Thanks AATALAS1X! But I am not quite following your post. Can you dumb it down for me?

install them , look down with a flash light and it will fit into the "V" and turn slowly, you may have to push down to get a positive turn, but you will and can do it.

I am a little slow... Now I get it. Thank you.

Next question, The way I understand my FSM, this should be the Horizontal adjustment, But I am not seeing the Vertical Adjustment screw. Am I correct in thinking this light only has one adjustment point? The other threads I have read clearly have a second Screw in the top. If there is a second adjustment, where is it?

Thanks and I hope this isnt seen as a hijack of the thread. I thought this might help others doing the mod.

For those of you confused about the amperage draw, here's a great youtube showing the initial amperage spike. No idea what ballast or wattage they're using. From this I'd say DDM is being very conservative about their numbers.

YouTube - amp meter HID xenon

And fun things you can do without a bulb:

YouTube - HID ballast without bulb

The video is old technology. The ballast used in the video is from a 2001 Lexus GS-300, Denso ballast. Hardy a fair comparison of today advancement in HID technology.

That sucks. I've heard a lot of good stuff about DDM's kits and customer service on other forums. But we (on this forum) haven't had the best of luck.

What color temp did they send you?

Got the stuff today, wrong temp bulbs, customer service blows, relay is pretty poor quality (what did I expect for $15?). I'm quickly becoming less interested in this fad.

Really the ones I got from ebay for $8.99 or that really cool website that sells them?

6k. I ordered 4.5k. Not a big deal, but I've been noticing more and more "blue" lights on vehicles that don't have HIDs and want to stay on the yella end of the spectrum.

DDM, dunno who the Ebay site is.

Btw, how did you determine that they were 6k vs. 4.5k? I ordered the 4.5k as well, and have thought that they were a little "bluer" than I had expected. I would like to check now...

The "6k" sticker on the box. There's nothing I found on the bulbs showing temp. I think that's DDM's MO, send what they've got in stock. IIRC a couple peeps here ordered 35w ballasts and 55w showed up.

Call up Visa or Amex or whoever your credit card provider is and tell them to remove the charge.

Dang, I paid more for 55W, should have just ordered 35W and took the freebie! :D

I haven't done anything to the LC in months....my time has been taken up by work, GF, and remodeling home.

I have parts stacking up quick that have been arriving...just need a free weekend with decent weather.

Excuse the newbie, but you all drive pretty expensive trucks. Why not get something quality like xenondepot or something?
