So doesn't look like you had any issues with the center caps fitting. I spoke to method today and they said the big grease fitting in the center of the hub can cause issues with the center cap fitting unless you run a thin spacer to allow clearance. No problems with this on your rig?
No issue at all, the center cap is at least a good 1/2” away from the hub with the wheels’ 25mm offset. That issue may be with the 100 series Land cruisers. So doesn't look like you had any issues with the center caps fitting. Ok cool! Did you use snap on centers or push through? No issue at all, the center cap is at least a good 1/2” away from the hub with the wheels’ 25mm offset. That issue may be with the 100 series Land cruisers.
There are 2 different size grease caps for the 200 series. They are interchangeable if you need to install the lower profile one. I’ve also heard of people taking a mallet to “adjust” the depth of the bigger caps. (I might be confusing this with something 100 series owners had to do… Point being it can be worked around without using wheel spacers).Ok cool! Did you use snap on centers or push through?
Thanks for the share knowledge! That helps a lot! There are 2 different size grease caps for the 200 series. They are interchangeable if you need to install the lower profile one. The wheels came with push on caps the seat about 1/8-1/4" into the center of the wheel.Ok cool! Did you use snap on centers or push through?
Good info, thank you!The wheels came with push on caps the seat about 1/8-1/4" into the center of the wheel.
Here are a couple pictures showing where the cap clips into the wheel.Good info, thank you!
Stock 2013 LX here. I'm looking to take advantage of Discount Tire's Labor Day sale. Did not see this exact setup in the database.
I was planning on getting the Icon Vector 5 in 17x8.5 +25 with 285/70/17 A/T tires (Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain), however, when I go to checkout, it says the wheels won't fit. I know that's BS since there are plenty of rigs on here with those exact wheels. What's even more puzzling is that they will let me checkout my cart with the tires.
Anyways, I did some playing around on the site and say that Method MR305 NV are a few dollars cheaper but DO fit (I can checkout my cart). These wheels are 17x8.5 +0.
My question is, 17x8.5 +25 with 285/70/17 seems to fit with very minimal rubbing (heat gun needed). Will a +0 run into any additional issues? I like both wheel designs.
Remove your LX from your saved vehicles.
I did, and I played around with it for quite a while. However, it doesn't let you check out unless you have a saved vehicle.
What is weird to me is that it lets me check out with the Methods, but not the ICONs. I was going to call in on Tuesday (when the sale ends) but now I might even be leaning towards the Methods.Just want to make sure they fit without any issues.

I just ordered my stuff on Friday. Ordered same size tire Toyo OC AT3 285/70R17 - according to Toyo 32.8". Ordered my wheel directly from Method on their labor day sale. Shipped direct to my tire shop. Tire shop suggested I do +25, the methods are +35 so that's what I ordered. It's only a one inch difference (25mm) all going towards the outside (poke). Will it be rubbing on the outside more? Fender liner? Any issues once it compresses?
EDIT: Note that I will be running 285/70/17 (32.7" tire). Same width tire as stock.
