Just joined 35” club. For the 200 anyway. Been on 35’s for 20 years in my fj40. Running a 2” Ironman lift with 17 x 8.5” Icon rebound wheels. Just replaced 34x 10.50 BFG’s. They were pretty good but on the smallish side.

Thinking about running 285/75/17 on Rock Warrior wheels on my stock 200. Any feedback on any trimming that I need to get done? Or if they fit no problems?

Just got new OEM shocks installed with the OEM 1/2" front spacers to level the height.

Thanks in advanced!
I’m running that size with cooper at3 xlts. I was running 35s, which needed trimming, but I doubt you’d need to do much else with this size if you have a lift and can mold the flaps and plastic bits. The wheels are also 0 offset so that probably helps, but I’ve seen others here with a suspension lift easily accommodate the size

275/70/R18 Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar on Method 318's in +40 (18x8.5 | 5x150 | 40/6.27")

My suspension is stock and the fronts rub at full lock. I ordered the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup (47-311145, 25-311402, 25-311419, 53-292018) which I hope will cure the rubbing. If not, I'll bust out the heat gun.

Hi All,
Put some 33 x 12.5 x 18 Kenda Kleva RT on today on my Rays TE37XT (18 x 9.5 0). Had already removed the front mud flaps from my old setup but this time it was hitting the trim behind the wheel. Bit of trimming and its ok now.

You are going to need a body mount chop with 12.50 wide at 0mm.

Looks good Scott!

I just finished installing BP-51 lift on my 200 and now I want to bigger tires. The gap in fender is just waiting to be filled 🤣

I’m currently running tundra trd wheels 8x18” which I believe are 60mm offset.

How much offset in your Icons? I would like to go 17s but like the tundra wheels so not really aching to go but newer wheels. Do the 17s make any difference with rubbing? Does the smaller offset help clear fenders?

Which tire did you go with ? Did you stick w 285?

Thanks!

Pretty sure the Icons are a 25 offset. Just put on 315 70 17’s. Goodyears. Had to remove the mud flaps in the front.

Looking for some advice or confirmation. I have a stock 2016 LX750 with factory 21" wheels. Primary use is commuting and highway driving. Live in Denver I'm in the mountains a lot so snow performance important. I will want to do mild off-roading/ overloading, but nothing crazy. After reading most of the forum posts, I believe the right set up for me is to purchase used 20" LX wheels and put 275/60/r20 Falken Wildpeak A/T4W tires on. These look to be 33" and shouldn't rub on a stock set up. I can get the tires in either the SL or D1 rating. Which would be most recommended? Does this all sound correct?

I just ordered up some 275/65/18 SL Wildpeak AT4Ws today. Decided to play it safe with something just slightly larger than stock but a more aggressive tread. I currently have have LTX AT2 in the same size, I just don’t like the look of them and they’re not great in snowy/slushy conditions. I also didn’t want to fuss with any sort of rubbing. Will report back tomorrow after they are mounted. Either I’ll love them or feel like a d-bag for not getting bigger tires.

Wanted to keep tire weight under 50lbs each and the only 275/70/18 available to achieve that was the grabber ATX, and my heart just wasn’t loving the design, not to mention the guys at discount tire said they have been getting tons of those back in with heavy spots and balancing issues.

I’m thinking of getting 275/65/18 Nokian outpost tires for similar reasons. Please post pictures!

I put on the Bilstein 6112's with the height set to 2.2" (perch 4, per Bilstein) and the rear 5160's and 1.75" springs (53-292018) and still have considerable rubbing. I haven't pulled the wheels to hit the areas with a heat gun, but they DEFINITELY do need some massaging to fit without rubbing.

The rubbing was fairly minor before the lift (a little rubbing at full lock,) and minor again before the alignment (rubbing at full lock when backing up with the wheels full lock to the left), but following the alignment, it is considerably worse and now needs to be addressed. I think those Goodyear Adventures are bigun's!

The LC looks great with them on though! Stance is perfect now.

Not the best photos but here are the 275/65/18 SL Wildpeak AT4W. I do also have the front spring spacers installed. Initial impressions - smoother ride than the Michelin LTX AT/2 of the same size and also quieter, surprisingly. Can not comment on MPGs yet, have only driven around my own neighborhood so far but at 8lbs heavier per tire than the LTX I expect a very small decrease in fuel efficiency. I think the sizing is great for someone (like me) wanting an aggressive upgrade of stock size, but also with no rubbing and still plenty of wheel well, and these are $290/per compared to $445/tire to jump up to the 285/65/18. I have no regrets.

Snore. All these 275s are okay, but that's trading width for height.

How about some more interesting sizes. An upgrade should increase both dimensions from stock. When GXs, 4Rs, and Tacos are fitting 285+ all day long, why is a 200-series fitting smaller tires? KDSS is not a limitation and can easily be worked around.

In 18" wheels
  • 305/60R18 at 32.4"x12.2"
  • LT305/65R18 at 33.6"x12.2"
  • 33x12.50R18LT at 32.5"x12.5"
In 20" wheels
  • P295/55R20 at 32.8"x12.2"
  • LT295/55R20 at 32.8"x12.2"
  • 33X12.50R20LT at 32.5"x12.5"
  • 305/50R20 at 32.0"x12.4"
  • LT305/55R20 at 33.2"x12.4"

Yeah right! I’m totally posting pics here of my 275/65/18 Defenders when my 285/50/20 Defenders crap the bed in…*checks odometer*…50,000 miles. And I’m going to tag you when I do it @TeCKis300 😅

I’ll gladly trade a bit of width for a tad more height and significant cost savings.
