I must be really snake bit. EGR valves last year, fuel pump this year and in the last week a spot light button stuck on and the cooler box took a crap. I am probably going to order spare starter and alternator for big bend or just be safe and sleep at home that week.

It does drive really nice with the suspension tuned properly and a proper alignment.

To be honest I don't think with this buyer that is the case saw 4 nice 100 series getting traded in today. I think finally a 200 series that appeals to that buyer. The trucks needed more tech for current market place.

A 2008 ford fusion had more tech than a 2008 LC

I am in love with this truck.

Well I am going to hold off on some of the upgrades and give it a few months. In some ways it has been more reliable than the 100, still on original starter and alternator and battery. I have seen a 4runner in HS with gobi rack and rear ladder it is sharp. Considering it is about the size of a 60/62 its maybe the new cruiser. That frame is the prado in other countries.

I parked the 80 beside one a while back and had the same thought... 70's don't look like they'll every see the shores of the US in dealerships and the FJ Cruiser missed the mark of a true retro release model

Whew. To each his own. Maybe that will grow on me by the time I can afford it.
Taking the running boards off that truck would remove a thousand visual pounds from it and totally transform the overall looks. Unfortunately, it's not that easy now, since they integrated those grader blades into the body.....

Other than that, they definitely look a lot better than the original 570 body style, almost to the point that it's attractive.

To each his own, but it looks like a bloated crossover to me (something like an overgrown Audi or Cayenne). Of course, it's easy to be critical knowing that ownership is well beyond my financial reach. I'm sure it's orgasmic to drive, but as far as a trail ready vehicle that looks decent and won't require me to sell a kidney, give me an old land cruiser or a new 4runner.

What does one do about the snow plow front bumper? I don't think I can take a hot knife to it.

I hope the 4 Runner has stepped its game up on the plastic parts. If anything like the tree....they don't wear well.

With the current market of cars. I will keep my 100 as long as it still works. The simplicity of a 70 series has an enormous value to me more than ever.

Pictures don't do the new LX justice. Leaps and bounds over last years model and smokes the same money Caddy E.

Soon as I can find the time to get them to PowderCoating, and then the truck to Jackson. Probably February
