Sadly. This ^ Is. Truth. Every word of it. It may be a nice car, but it's no closer to being a land cruiser than a sequoia.

I agree with run but how is it running 16" tires.

Ohh well great part is Lexus stores can't keep in stock they are selling off VIN's as soon as they hit system in DFW. So as a LUX suv they still have a market for what we love about them not so much.

Hell still a lot of 4WD Tahoe, Burbans, and Sclades being sold.

That is the plan. Got stock springs hopefully on the way.

Everybody bemoans toyota and The way the LC is going but they have some great choices but its obvious that they are gearing the Taco and 4Runner as their fully capable offroad vehicle. A few months ago Wolfchase Toyota had 5 2015 LC on their lot. Salesman told me the last few people that looked at 200s left with 2 4Runners instead. They didnt even have a 4WD 4Runner on the lot.

All my cruisers ride smoother with aftermarket lift kits. Japanese have a lot better roads than we do. Our roads are remiscent of the roads in India.

No. I am gonna get stock set up parts and sit on my hands. If i can use IM shocks with OEM springs my wife will drive it till she sells enough houses to buy her own car (porsche cayanne or LR). Might be my daughters 1st car in 4 yrs.

I havent had a new car since my 01 Boxster, I am due.

Height is fine for me but it is still mostly family vehicle. Ride is a tad rough on road but drives like a dream offroad. Really smooth over speedbumps at 40.

I am just apprehensive going further with new UCAs etc. on the 200 so I think for me a newer 4runner is the way to go. I am no mechanic and am too lazy to do a build. The 4runner is best off the rack 4wd for me sine all I will ever do is piddle around on FS roads and go to my kids acrivities.

Many people in other forums (e.g., the 120 forum) say the 4Runner is not the American version of the Prado, while they say the GX is. I don't know the differences, and I'm not really sure that it matters, but that's what many claim.

That being said, if you change your mind from buying new, I've been REALLY pleased (so far) with the slightly-modified GX I was in when I saw you in Ridgeland in December. It rides smoother, both on and off road, than any other platform I've ever had, and with about 165,000 miles on it now, it's still quieter / more rattle-free than any of the others........also, many more accessories available than before, and a bunch more in the works.

Just a thought.
