Awesome. I found 4 of the same type 18” tundra steelies that were silver, I painted em gloss grey - may try that first with some 285/70/18 - hoping the fit with .75” spacers and minor fitting. Whats the scoop on your lug nuts?

MCGARD 64014 Chrome Cone Seat Style Lug Nuts (M14 x 1.5 Thread)

nice. i don't use spacers so can't comment on fitment. good luck i've enjoyed mine and they are reasonably priced. btw my shop balances the wheel weights from the inside, something to consider if you don't want to see those.

Beautiful spot. I'm sure you're using this a bit tongue and cheek. Though as one towing to another - I highly encourage you to use 4-low as often as you can for low speed maneuvering with a heavy load. The transmission and especially the torque converter will thank you as it rides the torque converter less, building less heat. You'll be rewarded with more fine control.

I will often go into low range as soon as I get into the entrance of a campground, especially those that are more interesting, unpaved, and with grades.
It was tongue in cheek, but like you, I’ve used 4 low to maneuver in slow speed situations. Especially if there are any inclines to deal with.

Figured I’d try a new tire after the Ridge Grapplers. This is the new Falken RT in 285/75r17 which is the same size as before. The only difference in the Falken is a C load range vs E with the Nittos. Ride is noticeably softer though I didn’t mind the E rated Nittos at all. Hoping the Falkens live up to the hype because it was not easy making the switch from my favorite tire!

watching with great interest! You got your money's worth out of those RGs!

Any reason for going with C over E rating? Based on how your ‘new’ spare looks it seems like E isn’t overkill.

Agreed! They were great tires and lived a pretty hard life. I stopped commuting in 2019 and always drive our EV for around town stuff, so basically the only time the 200 is driven is going on wheeling trips. A large portion of the tires' life was aired down and off road including long distance wheeling trips, so even though they only had about 21k miles on them, I'm impressed they retained half their tread (8/32" left out of 16/32").

I went back and forth on C vs E. I have basically only used E tires on the 200s I've owned including the stock ones, but I noticed the Falken E rated tire in the same size had a load rating of 3,970 pounds which is way overkill for my build. For comparison, the E rated Ridge Grappler had a load rating of 3,195 pounds which is close to the Falken C load rating of 2,835 pounds. They both have the 3 ply "Duraspec" sidewall, so I'm hoping they retain the good durability I'm used to with E rated tires. I will be putting these to the test right away and will share feedback. So far, they are noticeably softer riding and soak up bumps much better around town. I'll be pinging @gaijin in the wheel and tire database thread to get the correct RCTIP for these to ensure they're properly inflated.

Put the stock wheels on and put it in low mode after going to a few car shows this summer. Lasted all of a week, BUTTTTT I had to get a photo atleast. Still think it wouldnt look bad with a meatier tire on this set up. Ride was pretty dang nice compared to my E rated 33s on 17s. Better than I remembered .
