Just to jump on the discussion about Locking center diff earlier, do you guys ever use the ECT Power button? On road or off road? Maybe whole towing?

For some of these folks like @mcgaskins the better question would be "Do you ever turn the Power button off?"

I used it pretty consistently on pavement during the whole of the Moab trip. It's mostly just fun in town, but on the highway I think the truck runs/shifts better and I got some of the best mileage I ever had, which to me is counterintuitive. In mountains or when you have lots of elevation changes, I think the shift mapping is much better. For most people I would try running with it turned on most of the time before spending the money on new gears. I'm among the least mechanically knowledgable on this forum though, so my opinions and experiences are wrought with assumptions, confirmation bias and flawed logic.

I leave mine on PWR....except that the silly placement of the rocker button in my 2098 is such that I constantly find it inadvertently bumped to 2nd...

Awesome. I've looked into this Moab thing among others. There's plenty of off roading to be done here in the east, but it's not all wide open spaces where you pretty much won't screw up the paint.

My question is where the hell is the nearest gas station when you're so far off the beaten trail out West?

If anyone from the area wants to meet up at Windrock, LMK. I haven't bought off road tires yet so I'm not going to push it too hard but they have something for all levels there.
2 Five gallon Jerry cans and always bring an extra 5 gallons of water Jerry can just in case. Also let the pressure bleed off the tank. Lol. Did white rim last year and I guarantee it was a good 5 minutes of hissssssss from the tank with the altitude and heat. Tank wouldn't take any fuel till it was depressurized.

Won't be long before someone does it in a electric hummer with a generator and gas cans. Lol.

That is tight. Any rubs?

No damage.

Full disclosure...
...Going back up another spot called S.O.B. Hill was a pain. Much rock stacking and patience. Loose rocks, and powdered sand...big heavy beast...made for the longest hang-up I’ve seen. STUNNING TRAIL, though. Will post more. Only been home short time.

I have seen the picture with the Hi-Lift jack.

Yeah, we were lifting my rear passenger tire to cram rocks underneath. Maxtrax too.

Lift BP51, 0.75" BORA wheel spacers, 34" Nitto Terra grapplers.
Any issues running 3/4" spacers with the stock wheels ? This size spacer is something I am considering but am not sure about the wheel studs interfering with 2017 oem wheels and also Evo corse wheels.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you're running Nitto Ridge Grapplers. And looking good doing it.

The BORA 3/4" fit perfect with the OEM wheels and provide the clearance from the KDSS for 34" tires. I do not know if they fit on the EVO wheels and might need the stud ground shorter on those ones. There is some other thread arounf on fitting 35's vs 34's. You may need those 1.25" ones for the aftermarket wheels or grind studs.

Cool thanks. This is what the back of the Evo corse wheel looks like, Being that they are flat and dont have any recessed areas I think the studs may interfere...is that what you think as well?

Officially joined the club today. It's a 2013 with around 70k miles on it. Can't wait to use this thing and get the build started :D
