Can you post pics of the installed switch?

When you say 5-6 hours, is that by a pro mechanic with a lift? Has anyone installed one in their driveway? I’m very interested in the 24 gallon tank. Spare tire is already relocated to bumper.

Here you go, below.

Yes, a professional with adequate skills and tools, including lift and a second set of hands and a tranny stand.

No DIY driveway installs that we are aware of.

Comment from @eizenjin91 "However one point I do want to mention this is different than their old design. This automatically shuts off 2 minutes after hitting red empty on the gauge. The old one never turned off and I actually ended up (from my own lack of attention) burning up the transfer fuel pump after running it dry for about 6-7 hours in northern Canada. So that’s a super nice feature."

Thanks for the historical perspective. Yes, the vendor of the control module introduced the upgrade and LRA immediately started shipping the new item. Amazing the transfer pump lasted that long - pretty good product, it seems :)

Ward, I realize at this point you guys have come so far just to get these 3 200 series tanks on the US market, that said, has there been any rumblings about a half fuel/half water tank?
Sorry to report that there will not be a half/half tank from LRA. They offer stainless steel water tanks but the "Siamese" structure of the hybrid tanks from another firm Down Under do not (in LRA's view) have long term viability, given structural and material challenges. They just don't hold up and LRA has had the "other" firm's products in their shop for repairs enough to avoid the structure.

Great Insight! Thanks Ward.

With the 13 gallon there should be plenty of room to add a separate water tank if that's your jam.

About bashing the tank…. It was my impression that these tanks could be up armored on the bottom. Perhaps word Harris can chime in about this, but I hope that is true. From the photo and from my own inspection of a 50 gallon tank in Baja, it appears to me that the tank rides well above where any spare tire would sit, and quite a bit higher than the resonator and it’s stock location.

To me, it seems adequately tucked... Especially if it can be armored with an extra plate of steel.
We have confirmation that the 200 tanks (Large/40 and Medium/24) can have the bottoms upgraded from 2mm to 3mm steel at added cost of $100. Will take additional week to build, delaying the order a bit.

Just let us know when you order.

Thanks!

Sweet!
Thank you, Ward.

I don't so much mind fuel in my water, but really don't care for water in my fuel. ;-)

PRICES, DISCOUNT, GROUP BUY (Kind of)

A quick update....

1. US spec instructions are complete (for now) and attached.
2. Over a dozen US installs of the 200s and no issues, they install and function as designed.
3. Prices are up (shipping, mostly) and there will be a $100 price increase to $1,795 for the complete kit effective July 15.

We are honoring the contributions of the 200 MUD crew by extending the $200 intro discount for paid orders received by July 1 - at the current retail price of $1,695 - for a net price of $1,495 plus shipping to your shop or local YRC (Yellow Freight) terminal. We will place the order on July 1 with shipping first week of August. We have made the order/build/ship process much more efficient and the timeline has been shortened up significantly.

If you want in, just go to this link and provide the required information and we will get you an estimate with shipping for approval.

@Taco2Cruiser

If you look on one of the last pages of the install guide you can see the 45 gal on a 200.

Thanks Cole, I'd like to compare that to a 24 gallon though. Seems like all the searching I do, no one has ever taken pictures of a 90L mounted.

Ah, yeah, I wonder if one's even been installed on a 200 yet?
The 24s have been installed, just no photos.....

And yes, this is the "big" tank of around 40 gallons. AU version is 45 but we had to notch the tank and the new net is something above 40 gallons.

What size are you going with?

40 with up-armored bottom....because there’s no rule that says I have to keep it full.

Not a done deal yet...but I’d like to lose 15 gallons of Jerry can fuel on my bumper, freeing my basket for with and propane. Maybe change the behind-the-tire rotopax to water if I can get a pump-out splitter (to share fuel with others, maybe mini bike, generator etc.).
