Interesting things have come to light.
I was surfing (do people still call it that) the pig picture album and came across this image which caused me to pause and take a closer look. Upon further inspection I do believe I've found a photo of my FJ55 from before I owned it.
The mirrors, they're trash now but mine had those funky auto zone $20 suck for long time special mirrors on it.
Second clue the turn signal in front has been replaced and is still replaced with an aftermarket unit like the photo.
Wagon wheels, check
Selectro hubs, check
Background appears to be the same type of foliage as one would find in Oroville CA.
I think I remember taking that wrinkle out of the right front fender years ago with a hammer and a dollie. Honestly I took out so many dents I can't remember...
The photo seems to me to have maybe been taken on the same roll of film as the photo which ran in the "wheels and deals" I bought it from. I realize I'm probably the only one who thinks this is interesting to have found and I know I'm the only one who would know one way or another but my gut is telling me, that's my landcruiser...

Edit.
Further sleuthing, internet stalking or whatever you want to call it has revealed that this photo is actually posted by @BenjaminCA who lives in Oroville CA, where I bought the truck. He now apparently runs a you tube channel about landcruisers and I have a feeling he wouldn't mind seeing his old landcruiser again. I sent a personal message to him with my phone number, but if anyone here knows Ben, please let him know that I'm trying to contact him for a 20+ year reunion/shoot the breeze session.

Yeah man! That’s my old piggy. And it looks like you’ve done her proper! Looking forward to meeting. I’m in Scotland at the moment, but when I get home I’ll be reaching out. I have a few more pictures too.

I smell a you tube video cookin'
How cool is that? My landcruiser infected BenjaminCA with the swine flu and got him started playing with landcruisers years ago. Now he has a huge you tube channel about landcruisers and apparently everyone but me knows who he is.
I'm really excited for all of the photos and also really excited to get together and talk landcruisers. This is unbelievably cool.

Today I came out of tractor supply to some kid in a jeep (with racing slicks) losing his mind. He wanted to talk, i didn't.
If you can't keep tires on your POS, then stop eyeballing my POS....
Buh bye. On my way hone I dropped a c note on a new OEM radiator cap and 2 new wiper blade inserts at the stealership.
One I gave my Vin Number the old white haired man came out of the back "you've said the magic word, what do you need?" As he brushes aside the teenager running the computer and looks up what I need.
The kid at the counter, as usual needed my full VIN, which I gave him, but he's dead in the water without 17 digits. Completely useless... The old white haired man got me moving again as always.

We have to bring the next generation along!
Yes, it takes longer, but if we want Pig life to continue, we have to share the knowledge w/ those that don't know any different.

Amirite?

I remember a few years ago I was on a trip w/ Mike from Bump It Offroad (good guy). We were transiting a water crossing and a nice family was there. I remember a very little kid just staring at our Cruisers as we went by. It is very easy to imagine that one day, that kid is going to grow up and find a Cruiser like they saw crossing the stream that beautiful spring day...

I use the term "Kid" liberally.
Big dopey adults qualify.
If it had been an actual kid, you know a young small human with an open mind, eager to learn things I'd have told him all about it. My swiney senses told me he wanted an audience forvwhich to recite the brand names and part numbers of all the aftermarket crap he bolted to his Mexican built jeep as if I know what that stuff is or care...
My gut told me the dude is not who I want to spend my precious time talking to.
He was probably 30 to 35 years old...
I just wasn't feelin it.

LOL, that sounds quite a bit different than the scenario than I envisioning.
