700hp yeah wouldn't make the cut :D

You don't have to lie to kick it :D jk

Dude there are less than a handful of cars all cost over 1 million that can beat a gtr on a drag strip.

I wouldn't sell the gtr if I were you......unless you are getting the new gtr black edition.

0-60 in 2.7 seconds all day long, everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. How many Italian super car can do that? They all need at least $30k in maintenance before Thursday.

GT-R is already gone, guy flew in last week and drove it home. Went 2.4s 0-60mph with 1ft roll out and 10.1@137

I remember seeing pics here on mud of it in your garage, jealous of course. Why did you unload it? Pay for the cruiser addiction? :)

Why would you sell that? Don't you have a first born? You are dead to me!

Read his build thread. Tough decision for sure but some things must be done!

Yeah tough decision for sure, but after owning it for almost 4 years, spending lots of dollars, tuning it, it was a garage queen. And I am quitting my job and going back to school so a lot of the toys have to go! :)

I did the same thing. Knowledge is power, plus you can always buy ore toys :D

I can relate - sold my heavily tuned RS6 to re-adjust to life post divorce..... it was only 580hp but similar ilk and illness......

The 80's far more rewarding as I can actually do 75% of the work on it....and it's purchase price was less then the custom exhaust for the RS6... !! parts while not cheap are FARRRR cheaper...

knowledge and being in a field that fulfills your soul can certainly replace some extra toys...

but I feel your pain......

How much torque do you gain with SC. My rig will be pulling a trailer with roof mounted tent awning fridge/ freezer the whole nine yards. Or even mounting the tent and awning on my rig with all the goodies, Slee front and rear bumper and winch and so fourth. Just want to have enough power to climb hills at 70 to 75mph. I understand it's not a rig to go fast. If I want to go fast I will take my Porsche out for a run,
Thanks for your time

Unless your a purest, for the 4K it would take to put in a SC, why not a V8? Just asking.

You might think am crazy but since I own a f250 I will never buy a GM product, we also have dodge Durango so a Cummings 6bt diesel is on the list, and my daily driver is a Lexus and my expedition, four wheeling, camping rig is a Toyota Land Cruiser wanting to stay toyota meaning SC or 12hdt diesel.
Just want to make the right choice. Power and torque is going to be needed to carry or towe camping/expedition stuff.
Thanks Guy!!

Because $4k gets you no where near a V8 swap unless you do 100% of the work, find great deals and get lucky. The trans adapter alone is over a grand.

$985 shipped right now. Plus $278 for the motor mounts if you get those through Mark's as well.

That's what I'm going with but you can get it cheaper without any luck involved. So that's $3,388 for all the big stuff. Then you have all the little stuff which will add up quickly but $4,000 gets you quite a bit towards a V8 swap.

:meh:

I don't own a SC'ed 80 but did manage to have my butt spanked with another one that's loaded like yours with a SC so you should be good to go. It's about as PnP as you can hope to achieve.
