More photos of the installed exhaust. The rubbing of engine bay flex pipe below.
The sound is exactly what I was chasing... quiet.

That looks great!
I've just been emailing them about getting the exhaust shipped to Canada - this confirms my decision!

I'm not sure an hour is a realistic install time, though! (certainly not for me)

You are likely correct about the 1 hr install time if you were doing it first time. I did already remove my original exhaust and install a Torqit prior to swapping in the Beaudesert. This made every bold removable in seconds and I knew the technique how to get pipes in place. I think if you did it 3x you would also do it in an hour or even less!

You will be happy with quality and sound. I do wish Torqit would just offer a quiet option. Seems like a very easy part to add to their option list.

When I first started to experience the rubbing of the new exhaust I quickly thought maybe the body mounts are worn. I had a set of new oem mounts and hardware for a previous project that were never used. I decided to remove and replace the body mounts.

Not a difficult task but does take some careful planning to not get hurt. I did not have any issues with any of the bolts coming out. The front ones were the more difficult to remove but they did come out. Not cutting was required. The old mounts were compressed but not broken like I have seen in other threads.

-Remove interior seats to make your life easier.
-Loosen all the body mounts.
-Remove the nuts/bolts on side you will be working on first.
-Jack the body up on the one side. I used 2 jacks and timber to get the height I needed in order to clear the front and rear mounts. About 3" is needed. I also used a variety of tall jack stands to spot the body incase the jack+timber slipped. I did not want to have any accidents.
-Replace the mounts and repeat the other side.

Did this stop the rubbing?
So far I've removed the rear head shield and may have to remove the front/under seat shield to clear my LegendX exhaust

I noticed the new mounts gave me an addition 1/8" height. I think this would have cleared the rear heat shield (by the crossmember) but I trimmed back the stud while I had the exhaust off.
The front rubs only during shutdown now. The diesel likes to shake when coming to a stop. I am either going to trim a nice radius or try to bend the metal in that area.
Here are better photos of the front contact area before I did the body mounts. I will get a picture of how it is now after the body mounts were replaced.

@SNLC - Any rubbing issues with your Beaudesert installation?

lol, mine did the same in the rear when turning it off. Front downpipe clears though
I thought for the longest time it was the rainfly rods in my roof top tent making the noise
I opted to remove shields and add Reflecta-Gold in its place

Did you remove the studs for the heat shield too? Or was it specifically the heat shield?
The Beaudesert installation instructions highlight the rear heatshield stud interference. So they know about it and did what they could do minimize rubbing. Much bigger exhaust than stock.

Did not remove studs. Shied removal seemed to take care of it. Gotta keep an eye on the studs though but they seemed to be clear of the exhaust.
LegendX must be a tad smaller in diameter than Beaux or Torqit

So many good things happening in this thread! I too have all the parts to replace all the body mounts. Just need time to do it!

Next up was to refresh the climate control buttons. I took everything apart to clean. Replaced the light bulbs (3 x 84999-70015) and all buttons with new.
Existing bulbs were slightly off color but worked. The buttons themselves have a window where the light comes through to show if its on/off. These windows are damaged by UV/age and are yellow. This likely impedes light from being as bright as designed. I have had a tough time seeing them during day hours. Hoping this will solve that. I am waiting on replacement bulb for the rear AC button. Once I have it I will get this installed.

There is a faceplate trim piece that surrounds the buttons which can be removed. Under there is a soft gasket material that just crumbled from age. I could not find a part number for it but think its just for dampening the sound of the buttons when pushed. Most of it just fell out and the rest I picked out. The 3rd photo below is of this material. You can see it poking out center frame.

What did you use to clean the climate control buttons and get them white and clear again? I have the same visibility issues on mine and would like to fix it. Looks like yours came out looking like new! :)

New buttons are still available from Toyota. Just got new buttons and installed them. Simple job. Big results. Highly suggest. I can now see them all day.

No issues I recall, it was 2020 when we installed it and we had already installed new body mounts too.

You happy with the sound of it?

Cheers

Yes - very happy with the sound.
Can you share a photo of the flex pipe in wheel well. Curious what your clearance looks like.

Body not on it currently.

Yet another project on the list. Did you jack up one area, R+R, and then move to another area? Don’t suppose you could post up some part numbers?. 😁 No worries if not.
I don't have the parts list handy at the moment.

Here is the short version of how I did it:

-Remove interior seats to make your life easier.
-Loosen all the body mounts.
-Remove the nuts/bolts on side you will be working on first.
-Jack the body up on the one side. I used 2 jacks and timber to get the height I needed in order to clear the front and rear mounts. About 3" is needed. I also used a variety of tall jack stands to spot the body incase the jack+timber slipped. I did not want to have any accidents.
