I personally think they are the best. Good visibility without moving your head to the doors. I have a new set of the original door mirrors but will probably never put them on. You need to find someone who has them and try it.

I have to agree, they're awesome. There are zero blind spot's with the fender mirrors, you can see anything beside you without a head check.

They are annoying that they don't allow for a normal car wash though.

Time for some of that good ole Toyota coolant.

Did a complete fluid change including both diffs. Probably the original 1997 oil but looked good with no surprises other than the normal fine glitter🤪 good excuse for a road trip to test the handy work.

I added a set of fish-eye mirrors. I find that they help when merging into traffic. 😊

Powder coated the skid plate. Interesting JDM mat that was attached to the top of the skid plate. I’m assuming it’s to catch oil that may leak….Japan thing…not going back on.

Also finished up my ammo can center console with a padded cover to match my Escape Gear Seat Covers. I like the fit & usability.

Making a plan to mount my ammo can center console. Still can’t believe how nice these floors are..No rust in this baby.

Does anyone know if this transfer case is any different than the non PTO other than having a PTO output on it ? Just wondering if the non PTO just has the cover plate on..

Amen brother….

Those City Racer rims you are running?

I am no specialist on this, but I’ve been doing too much reading and digging on the subject of transfer cases and I believe that you are correct. All the non-PTO cases have the PTO gear on them nevertheless, and I know this because it means the drive gear has limited contact with the splines, leading to premature wear. A replacement is offered by a few stores including @cruisermatt which eliminates the PTO gear and gives you good spline contact for the drive gear.
