Now this red is really popping, Mark! I am a fan of your work!View attachment 3734515View attachment 3734517Finally got around to getting all the stripes and residue off the truck. What a pain that was. I’m really liking the plain look though. Still need to start the compounding and polishing and excited to see the results.
Stopped by for a visit and coffee.![]()
I bought my '97 HZJ75 firetruck already converted and it looks like they left the bed intact but extended the rear wheel well to meet the lower edge of the 79 bed. So the wheel well looks much like the 79 series but with the shorter wheel base the wheel sits a little off center within the well. Not sure what technique I like more, really. But certainly looks like you have more room for your tires.Yes, they are from a 2023 HZJ double cab. Not a direct bolt up but will definitely work. We will need to make some new bed mounts and cut a small notch off the front corner lower edge…
How do those fender mounted mirrors work? I’ve always thought they looked cool but imagined it would be harder to see in them being so far away.View attachment 3776261View attachment 3776262View attachment 3776263View attachment 3776264Got the HZJ75 out for a Christmas tree scouting trip before the big storm this evening. This thing is running like a champ. Loving it. Had to add some weight bags in the bed for some extra traction. The rear bed just doesn’t give us enough weight needed in these conditions.
