This paint is really buffing out nicely. I’m loving this Griot’s Compound, polish and wax.

View attachment 3734515View attachment 3734517Finally got around to getting all the stripes and residue off the truck. What a pain that was. I’m really liking the plain look though. Still need to start the compounding and polishing and excited to see the results.
Stopped by for a visit and coffee.😀
Now this red is really popping, Mark! I am a fan of your work!

Thanks AB

Got the HZJ75 out for a Christmas tree scouting trip before the big storm this evening. This thing is running like a champ. Loving it. Had to add some weight bags in the bed for some extra traction. The rear bed just doesn’t give us enough weight needed in these conditions.

Come on out anytime…Nolan.

Yes, they are from a 2023 HZJ double cab. Not a direct bolt up but will definitely work. We will need to make some new bed mounts and cut a small notch off the front corner lower edge…
I bought my '97 HZJ75 firetruck already converted and it looks like they left the bed intact but extended the rear wheel well to meet the lower edge of the 79 bed. So the wheel well looks much like the 79 series but with the shorter wheel base the wheel sits a little off center within the well. Not sure what technique I like more, really. But certainly looks like you have more room for your tires.

Nice truck. I like your color choice on that one…the 75 series wheelbase is certainly shorter than the 79 series and makes it a little harder to to make the newer HZJ75 bed work.

Still amazed at how well this truck does in the snow. I’ve added about 300# of sandbags in the bed to help out, otherwise she’s a little light in the rear. 😀

How do those fender mounted mirrors work? I’ve always thought they looked cool but imagined it would be harder to see in them being so far away.

I personally think they are the best. Good visibility without moving your head to the doors. I have a new set of the original door mirrors but will probably never put them on. You need to find someone who has them and try it.
