We have changed the PDI intercooler plumbing a bit form the bolt on kit the Cruiser had. We had already done some hard mounting in the first round when the FTE was installed but have taken that a bit farther now. Reduced the number of silicone 90/45’s and went more with just couplers vs the bolt in kit. The ss pipe here we lowered a bit because it was ever so slightly kissing the hood pad.

We also lowered the power steering reservoir because it was also touching the hood pad a little.

Better then new !!!

This is the starter relay for 1HDT/FT 80-series. While this one still works, this part is NLA.

NLA parts suck so we updated the starter relay to one from a 1HZ powered 70-series which should be available for years still.

So we didn’t expect it to start here, we hadn’t primed the fuel system yet. We were just cranking it to build oil pressure before we planned to prime it and start.

It fired up anyways! Ya I know the pump wasn’t dry but the tank had been, all fuel lines were dry even the hard lines from the pump to injectors and both filters were dry. As you can hear in the video I was very surprised it started with no priming!

After a short run we shut it down and checked everything over. After that we started it again and ran it awhile to bring up to temp.

Wow what an awesome Cruiser!!! 😍🤌

The FTE is one of if not the best engines (diesel) Toyota ever made. Soooo smooooooth!

The owner flies into town next Tuesday so he and the interior shop guy can meet and go over the interior. We will be driving the Cruiser to the interior guys shop next week.

Cheers
