Ian, you guys had any thought about going part time with front wheel hub lock? It’s an easy change.
Yeah but you lose the awesome if Toyota AWD….

Just spent 2 hours crawling this thread.

This has got to be one of the most amazing 80s out there!

The labor work is outstanding, the details, everything is just perfect. I don't normally comment on other people's work. You, sir, did an outstanding job that demands applause.

Thank you for these 2 hours. I was inspired and I'm 100% sure the owner will have one of the most reliable "new" 80s.

Well done!

Thank you! Just got off a call w @SNLC about some of the final details. Working on getting this one transported back home. I really have no regrets with how this truck turned out.

That is so the plug doesn’t get lost. 😉

Finally caught up on this thread... had fallen behind. Just wow. So many little details plus a stupid-awesome drivetrain... so much fun. The end result is so friggin' sweet. Can't wait to see the Camel and Troopy build continue on...

Finishing up the last few little details today and giving everything a good check.

I will post those later tonight.

Ian, How hard is it to say goodbye?

We definitely get attached to these big builds but it’s extremely rewarding to be sending it home.

Plus we have a gorgeous 79-series sitting next to it to build for John so 😆

Cheers

I was literally backing it in the shop at 7:45pm, going to call it a day, like I was half way backed in and...

all of the sudden I said to myself, one last drive! 😂

Since we have upped the boost the Cruiser has only been a few miles up to the fairgrounds and then a few good runs in the parking lot. Tonight I hit the streets, including the highway. Did fifteen miles out to the airport and back. Man oh man, it’s soooo good. I am a real SoB to please too!

This is pretty rad. 😎🤙

These are long detailed videos. I didn’t even cover every detail in these!

If you don’t want to read the whole build thread, these are a summary. 🤗

Excuse me if I called belly skids “sliders” in these videos or a few other verbal mistakes I made in the videos. ☺️🤗

I am not Johnathan Ward although he did give me a tour of his shop back in the early 2000’s. 🤷🏼‍♂️😆😂

Up on the lift, full detail walk around of the chassis. Missed a few things for sure, it’s that kind of build. 🤗

Cheers

Total random, was just checking the camp lights and all that and the moths decided to abide in a test.

😆🤙
