If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer but other than working great. I havn't hooked the computer up to it in several months. I feel like it always shifts when I want it to. Which is the point of having it.

Every time I do an engine mod, which I havnt done recently. I feel the need to tune but that's very minor 5% or less stuff which probably wouldn't bother most.

My real wish is that I did a 98-02 a343f with a solenoid controlled rail pressure. Or the a750f. Either of which could happen if my trans give up. 243k and going 13k behind the healthy 4bt. Twins coming in the next year or two. To see if I can do some distruction.

I was reading my last post guess I need to do that follow up video... Might be a couple week out of town now

I'vebeen looking at 4bt conversions. I noticed there iisn'tmuch aftermarket for.these engines which surprised me since there is such a big market with the 6bt and CR cummins

Twins as in turbos, or babies on the way??

You could always run a 4l80e with that pcs once the 343 tanks. A compound turbo setup would be sweet. I've seen 250-300hp out of the 4bt's with honed injectors, 03-04.5 turbo and a pressure box. is your 4bt a isb or common rail?

Twins as in twin turbo... although my Second child is due early next year. Why do you think all these projects take so long.

4l80 is to main stream for me. I like a challenge.

My 4bt is neither. it the old bosch VE mechanical rotory pump from the 80's. Should still be able to get 250-300hp out of her. I'd guess I'm close to 200 now. I keep thinking about a dyno run but I'd rather spend money on parts and let my butt dyno decide what feels better.

Finally got around to putting a video together on a run around town showing shift tables and gauges and what not

Ok Bumpity

do you have a question?

all I can say is i'm really happy with my PCS TCU. took a trip to CO couple months ago, The first pass I stopped half way up to create my tow/power shift tables. as i had never really felt the need until then. i was towing a trailer with 3 bikes, had 4 guys in the cruiser and gear for 6 days. I'm guessing i was close to 9500#

@cjmoon yes I do, I have my stand alone set up pretty good, but I am no totally happy, I went to the makes forums and get zero answers, first I did not post my tune and then I figured out how to post it. On the road it's great 4 adults 1 boat and gear up 6500' no problem, but when I go off road solo, the only way I can get the TC to lock is either going above 30 mph or shift into low and the transmission does not slip, I am wondering if I can adjust my SA and lock up in 2nd 3rd and 4th instead of just 3rd and 4th

You know I've never tried 2nd gear lock up. I'll have to change programing. The program will allow it but will the a343f valve body?

I'd worry about locking up the converter to low in the rpm. The converter it's not made for our torque levels and know I could slip the converter at lower rpm pretty easy with the 6bt rig and git vibration down below 1500 with the 4bt that I don't like with it locked up low.

Well when I had my torque converter got modified, to connect to the flex plate they did some things to the vanes, I'll have to call the shop that did it and ask them what was done, I would like to have a outside switch to lock when I am off road, I tried to get some information from a web site but I cannot up load my tune for some reason frustrating

Ya I had a shop go through my converter also. Without going full on custom they can only change the blades so much. My stall is about 1900 vs 21-2200 Originally

I played with my programing enabling lock up in all gears. It will in 2nd but will not in 1st. The valve body must be blocking 1st gear lockup. Marks4wd makes a modified valve body that allows 1st gear lockup. But it's not cheap.

Do you know if your PCS controller works on the A442? Haven’t heard back from them yet. I’ve been planning on using an A440 with a DA kit for my 4bd2t. But with having to buy an A440, extend the snout on my A442 converter, etc I feel like I may be money ahead keeping my A442. Do you have any thoughts on this?

I don't think pcs will say yes or no since they don't have a set base program. I think on the phone I got them.to tell me it can run any trans but if they don't have a base tune they don't recomend. They don't have a base tune for the a343f either. The only real difference Is you will have a rail pressure pwm solenoid for the rail pressure on a 4th solenoid where the a343f uses a physical cable to the throuttle body. And you have to use a universal harness and wire everything together yourself as I did for the a343f

If you install a Transgo shift kit, it will modify the valve body for first gear lock up.... Something Toyota engineered to save their trannies...cheap fix for about $200 and will be able to withstand more torque as well, I believe.

TransGo Shift Kit will not do anything about lockup in first gear.

I think you might be confusing lockup which is an electrical process with clamping force which is a hydro/mechanical process.

The Transgo Kit does nothing for electronics it simply increases hydraulic flow and pressure to increase clutch clamping force and shift firmness.

hmm, the person who installed my Transgo kit told me it locked up first gear, so that when you shift into first gear it stays in first gear.

It will do that, but that is not locking the torque converter. If you locked the torque converter the truck would die when you came to a stop, just like if you didn't push in the clutch on a manual.

OK, my bad, I was confused about what he was wanting.
