Some interior shots before the rust discovery channel kicked in and made it dramatic
Also got some nice used snap on stuff from eBay
Working on the Fj with snap on tools adds 25 horsepower

Took off the rear seat bench found some surface rust, cleaned it up only to watch a video online of a lady switching her seat covers to leather from specter off road to see there was rust on the inside too, took off th whole pad. Spray, wax on wax off repeat … comes off pretty easy takes 10-15 min

my first time taking out the Spare tire, it was the original that came with the truck, that chain lowering system is so cool it worked flawlessly after 35 years of being built, imagine! Also whoever the genius is at Toyota that put a 17mm drain plug on the fuel tank. THANK YOU! That made my life so much better, I drained about 10 gallons of old fuel

Going to remove the fuel tank soon, inspect it leak test it, probably paint it clean it up and put it back together

I did order the fuel tank straps and bolts etc from Japan as well as a bunch of other available parts from Toyota, found a cool site that has everything in case you’re interested 98% of the parts on this thing is available

They also have the floor boards

Good job attacking this project head on! Love all the progress you've made so far.
For your fuel tank, I recommend changing all your vent hoses. Check out CruiserMatt's Off-Road & Performance - https://cruisermatts.com/
He has all the vent hoses, and filler neck stuff. Right size, length, clamps, etc.

I re-did my fuel tank last year and used the Rustoleum Professional Industrial oil-based paint. Buffed to bare metal, primered, and brushed 3 coats of this stuff on and it still looks like a brand new tank today.
