Installing the new throw out bearing on the clutch fork bushing. Turns out a 12ht or 2f crank pulley socket is just the right size to use as driver. Clutch fork pivot socket/ball and ears get a generous coating of grease and don't forget to fill the inner race or cavity of the clutch fork spacer as well.

New 80 amp internally regulated alternator installed with new oil feed and return hoses. I put some heat shrink on the end of the return hose to keep it from fraying like the old one did. Valve cover on with new gasket and grommets and new heater hoses up front. I put some loctite on the screw clamps for the coolant hoses for the turbo. I replaced the original worm drive and wire clamps on the charge pipe and intake pipe to turbo coupling clamps with all new industrial t-bolt clamps.

Going back in. I made this brace pictured behind me before I pulled the 2f it simply supports the back of the transfer case when the engine is removed so it doesn't flop around. Just a piece of angle with two long bolts that pick up the skid plate nuts.
Engine is in and mounts are all secured.
:)

Worked on the cruiser all day today. Seemed like made alot of progress but doesn't really look it visually. Here is the fj62 power steering lines with a fresh coat of paint and reinsulated rubber lines. All I had to do was straighten the last two inches of hard line at the pump and they bolted right up to the 12ht pump.
Also plumbed the fuel feed and return with new multifuel injection hose and reinsulated those as well with the original insulation and some heat shrink.

Clutch slave is back on as well as the ground down there. Vacuum tubing plumbed to the vacuum can from the alternator. A/c idle solenoid was the same between the two engines so I just ran the two vacuum lines across the firewall to the trucks original solenoid mounted on the driver side fender. Also had to extend four wires from the passenger side over to the driver, three for the alternator and one for the ac compressor wire. I made an independant harness for these and found some nice brackets to hold this subharness on the firewall, of course soldered and heat shrinked connections as usual.

Oil pressure wire required no work to reattach and only had to change the connector to plug in the coolant temp sender, didn't even have to extend the wire for it.

I was able to attach the hj60 throttle cable to this pivot wheel which I believe was actually the auto trans kick down cable attachment. I picked up an fj60 accelerator rod this evening from Michael (76fj40) and I think it will work perfectly in place of this wire.

I would be worried that bending the power steering line fitting would chase it to be severely prone to failure?

The fitting isn't bent the hard line is bent. Its not fatigued at all. It had a 90 in it and I straightened it about 70 degrees so it's nearly straight.

I'm installing a manual glow screen setup using a momentary switch. I hate drilling holes normally where they don't belong but made an exception and opened up the old choke hole just a bit to fit the glow button. Until my timed relay arrives for the shutdown function I'll be using this momentary rocker. Won't be needing the unleaded fuel only sticker any more :)

I salvaged a fresh air snorkel from the fj62 I parted which mated up perfectly to hj60 air cleaner I got from EBI. The air cleaner bolted up perfectly with two existing captive nuts and even already had a hole in the fender for the lower attachment support. Hj61 air

can to intake hose I found here on mud secured with some nice t-bolt clamps. I'm going to pull the air cleaner back out and have it powder coated when I turn in my next batch of parts but may be a few weeks so it will do for now.

Yeah them fender skirts are not cheap I just bought a set for my project fj60.
PRICEY!!

Yep my price was about 30 and 40 a side so 140 plus tax for the set! If these don't hold up I'll make some out of rubber sheeting before I buy factory ones.
