world of hurt from the installer that decided a slag of weld will do instead of just bolting it square.

Been busy setting up the workshop for a restoration. Roll up paint booth 6m x 3.4 x 2.8. Just need to finish the intake and exhaust filters and fan. Fits the whole cruiser in nice with plenty to walk around.

Replaced the air selection panel. All broken and cracked.
New lines too. Word of advice is to get the later cable for the heater flap ( not the tap ) otherwise was a pain in the ass to put in.

Have a set of these on their way. Big plans to get the rust done before a whole car respray.
And picked up a vdj76 body for rust cuts. Got it cheap and a heap of the same contours are the same. I bought it for the back.

Been awhile, thought and update:
Wheel carrier copped a beating from a tyre delaminating at 100km/h
Bent the 3mm plate steel. Pooly designed clearances cracked all through the light sections. New sealed LEDs tail lights to replace them. Fabbed up and ready to blast and paint

Stuff I've done before chrissy I'm still catching up.
Bought a set of ramp stands to do the under body. Ripped of the draw bar, exhaust and shielding ready to do the underbody and get her sealed up.

Bought an ebay wet blast kit. Used with my petrol pressure washer with good results. Bit of flash rust after but good clean start for paint. Used kbs rust seal, hardy stuff, can't even dent it with your fingernail.

Getting closer to up to date.
Floors clean and ready to start on the cancer battle.
Roof cage off, and frp is off.
if anyone has a lead on replacement Frp badges I'd be keen, broke the tabs off getting them off.

Checking the fit of some replacement fenders. Bought through Ilovelandcruisers.com.au
Seem good quality, the fuel cut out needs modifying as it's rounded rather then the chamfer. No holes for the door striker either.
Good start though. I've got no metal left to template so I'll replace the whole panels.
Top corner on the rear upright is brazed.
Drilling out the spot welds, ebay spot weld drill works amazing. Get about 10 cuts before their blunt. Getting myself distracted from the floor pan.

@FJBen champion, I knew surely someone would be printing these.

My parts donor- old vdj76 shell that's been in a roll over that I picked up cheap. Has started to pay its debt. Heaps of the profiles and panels cross over enough for me to cut out the rust on my old girl.

Poorly done patch panels are all over the rears in this car. This one was a bandaid style from the inside of the wheel arch.
Poor prep, and filler over painted surfaces have been the culprit for most of them failing. On my right hand arch it's been pasted in 20mm thick over red painted metal.
Pretty much up to date now. I'll keep you guys updated and motivated.

I saw you did the 80 series brake booster? Does it help a lot even though your rears are drums? Contemplating the same mod! @PyroDAN

Yeah sorting out your LSPV helped alot too. Mine was seized. Picked one up for around 75 bucks on ebay.
Went to a wrecker yard who still wanted a couple hundred for a second hand 80s brake booster. Picked up a brand new one for the same price. Hardest part was finding a coupling nut honestly.
Night and day difference, can actually lock up the rears now.

I think I need to go through my LSPV. New 80-series booster and master cylinder, freshly bled system with newish pads and rotors all around and it stops worse than it used to.
