You're always full of surprises, man!:hillbilly:

I am fluent in "Southern English" and can hold my own in "Normal English and Malay.":) Heck I can even speak "Canadian."

that is Canuckian ... to those in the know.

First you pick on me because I bought a LJ-78 and now you make fun of my language skills. You are dangerously close to being dropped from my Christmas card list.

Rusak (broken) is my favorite word in that language (indonesian). I've spent alot of time there and everything is always broken. I love it though they never really fix anything right but it opens your eyes to a new way of thinking when you seem some of the rigs/fixes over there.

In the movie "The Gods Must Be Crazy" there was an African tribe that communicated by making "clicking" sounds with their mouth.
I would very much like to try that language when my wife tells me to take the trash out.:)

give it a shot
and
let me know how it works for you, i hear the dog is use to you sharing his house...

I want you to know I run my house..............

I run the vacuum cleaner, the dish washer, washing machine.......:)

My alternator now appears to have issues. Its charging capacity seems to handle "day time" loads with ease but can not keep up with
"night time" operations. The voltage needle drops out of the normal range when the headlights are used and there is a slow but steady drain on the battery. Looks like it is time for a new or re-built alternator:o.

s*** when it rains it poors. If it ain't one thing its another one on the way. On a positive note your bumper will be its way monday.

can't help you with an alternator though I only have a 24v one. I'm in need of a 12v one myself but haven't broke down an bought it yet. They are hard to find b/c they are almost obsolete but you can get a rebuilt 12v one in the states. The are the same alternator that came on the diesel mini trucks back in 85.

Here is the culprit. Hopefully it is available here in the States.

I expected a few "bugs" in a 27 year old Cruiser however here lately it seems like I am battling a "swarm.":D

My 47 was having the same issue as yours about a month back. The alternator coil got broken up somewhere. Recoiled it and new carbon. :crybaby:

look at the faq in the diesel section. part # thread. The part # is there for the alternator.

Thanks for the information. I am going to have a rebuild shop look at it first to make sure it is not something simple. I would like to drive it after dark.:)

Terima kasih untuk maklumat........:)

tidak apa apa (no problem) I doubt that translates literally on google.

wong... how close is the Malaysian language to the Indonesian language?

If its a toyota/denso alternator have it rebuild. The ones from a parts store are a craps shoot. The quality is usually never there.

Hopefully the shop can shed some light on which direction to go. The only problem with having it rebuilt is the down-time. ( 2-3 weeks
turn-time). My neighbors already think my Cruiser is a "static display" because it sets more than it drives.:) It might be more prudent to just install a new or re-built unit.
