Never notice the bend in the shifter for a RHD rig. Guess it make it easier to shift in first from the Right side.

any idea what these other 2 threaded holes are for (circled in blue? right near injection pump??

Those threaded holes are the piston oil injection nozzles, nuthing goes in there, just put some corrosion inhibitor to stop the rust.

Thanks Daryl, someone else said the same thing.

Eric, yeah its not bad actually shifting, little diff but comes along fine, left hand turns are still a little freaky?

more photos, got on frame with new poly body mounts, windshield on with new rubber, rear seats on, molded ruber flooring in, heater restored by Aatlas in, steering column in, brake booster on, fuel tank all hooked back up, e-brake hooked up, antenna on, windshield wiper linkage on, clutch lines back on, ...... problems we ran across, please look at one pic i am posting, just right below the edic motor mount is a threaded hole in which when we starting filling radiator up with coolant it all starting coming out that hole, what goes in that hole (circled in blue alone)....other things were late model OEM transfer inner rubber boot and outer is way smaller and does not fit (probably having something to do with my factory 5 speed???) Theo, if you reading can you send me some pics of how your metal line that goes from outlet of sedimenter is routed to go near the inlet to injection pump, we can not figure it out...

The threaded hole that the coolant came out of is the block drain for the coolant. It is a 2 piece fitting that goes in there. 1 piece goes in the block, like a threaded bushing, and the other piece, like a bolt, goes in that .

Daryl

by the way looks AWSOME:cheers:

Looking great Rob and you are now way ahead of me :bounce:

I now need your help please ?

It seems my preheat timer, starter relay etc were fitted everywhere but in the correct location. The pre heat timer was actually just dangling loose  Could you please post some pics of where you fitted all the relays in that pax footwell area ? I tried the TOYODIY site but it is not clear. Is it that U-shaped and half U shaped brackets next to the blower holes ?

Here ya go Theo. right next to heater blower hole under dash glovebox. also, the fuel relay is mounted under the dash on left outside area of glovebox (not inside but outside of glovebox, you will see the mounting holes align). and this roundish relay looking thing gets mounted on right side of glovebox underneath dash. Hop this helped?

Very nice indeed!that paint job looks perfect what paint system did you use?I am thinking of getting a shop to do the paint on my 47 now ,just starting to think the hassel with chem and close neigbours is not worth it.The price of good shop(which can be hard to find)scares me a bit ,did they charge you per hour or did you agree on a price up front?I guess paint is one area where money is well spent not much good doing a nice resto if the paint is crap.Keep the pics coming and thanks for posting:)

All I can say is you get what you pay for. hourly is what we went on for they dont know how involved it is going to be until all stripped, sandblasted and then they see all. It is PPG base coat clear coat 2 stage 033 Toyota white, and it looks great up close. It was alot of $$$ but I am very happy I went with it.

As promissed Rob. Bear in mind that these were taken during the stripdown and I have not refitted it yet so I cannot vouch for the correctness

Thanks Theo, I think this is how we have it as well. We will try again. What is that filter thingy to the right of your steering column?

.. What is that filter thingy to the right of your steering column?

Came like that from Aussie, Rob. It seemed to be a dirty/blocked airfilter warning device of sorts :meh:

Nothing goes there, it's blank. Probably provision for something when a 3B is put into a Coaster or Dyna.

Looking good, but that turbo will heat the firewall a fair bit unless you put in some shielding IMO.

pics

got the fenders and hood on. have some adjusting to do though.
