Love this cruiser!

So much potential but the BAT crowd is going to be rough on this. All the faults you mentioned would need to be corrected before it would likely command big BAT $

Factory rubber floor and underseat liners would really spruce this thing up and cover up the bedliner. That along with removing the paint overspray would make a great improvement.

Good luck with the auction! I am very curious to see how the hammer price compares to your original asking price. I see you've deleted the price (as per BaT rules?), but the Internet remembers. There was a mustard 40 on here last year and the owner was asking $23k.... he put it on BaT after a few months and actually got $23,500, which tells me it was well priced from the start. I imagine yours will also sell for close to your asking price, give or take a couple of grand. Anyway GLWTA. It is a beautiful truck.

Yeah, it will go for what the current market dictates.

Documentation is important, at least that's what I have read on BAT comments. That's why I posted the PO threads.

Hope that helps.
Good luck with the auction
I don't know if the seller was aware of that thread, but I sure wasn't. I wholeheartedly agree that provenance is extremely important to most buyers, or at least it should be.

Make sure to set a reserve that’s fair for you.
100%. I was super disappointed at what my 80 sold for last year on BaT. Not a great market right now.

BaT wanted me to sell it at no reserve and I think it would have been even worse, depending on your views on no-reserve auctions.

FYI - Here's the previous owner's build and for sale threads.
Not the complete story but fills in a lot of pieces. Looks like it was in TX, Mexico, CO, SC, FL & NC

Interesting I bought from cruiserjunkton on here but was not aware of the engine rebuild, that is on the craigslist ad. It has a reserve so we will see how it does. I am torn on selling but don't drive it and plan to get a 200 Series. It will be a while before it goes live. Have to get more pictures and not going to put it on salt salted roads.

Good, glad you found some useful info. Good luck with the sale. I would have loved to get this from you but too many cruisers already.

One thing I learned from all of the shows, the auction houses, the contractors that did work for us was that you need to always be advocating for your vision and the vehicle. BaT doesn’t want to assume any risk and they want to sell cars, it’s their job to get the listing at no reserve. But it’s your job to be realistic about what you need out of it at a low point for most hobby cars that aren’t P or F.
