This late model fj40 has so much potential! It is as close to an original survivor still wearing its original dune beige 416 paint!! This fj40 has been parked for 26 years!!!! It has 124k original miles! For a 79 its in really solid shape. The only bad rust is the drivers floor and the rear outer sil on both sides . Rear floor has surface rust, but nothing major( worst areas around the mounting bolts and tge front lower bib.Doors and amby doors are solid( very rare) Original seats and jump seats are remarkably clean and soft still! Headliner in great shape( needs to be reglued) all mats accounted for, Dash is amazing, paint looks new still!! Right front fender has some filler( small fender bender probably) and someone spray painted the quarters at some point( not sure why? No body damage or filler besides the fender. Fiberglass top in great shape, very minor gutter rust, all seatbelts are there.This would make a great patina build. So, its been sitting for a long time. It will obviously need all fluids changed, brakes rebuilt, fuel system ( tank was empty and didnt smell bad.) I did put some gas down the carb and it fired up! But did not go any further untill oil is changed .I dont know the condition of the drivetrain( shifts smooth through the gears, rolls and steers. Clutch actually still works and the brakes are spongy but still has brake fluid! Oil looks clean. All smog equipment is intact! Was going to make this a daily driver, but have too many projects, so someone else can have a fun winter project! The vehicle is out of the california dmv system so working on getting a vin verification and title( previous owner passed away and didnt sign over the title , so have to jump through some hoops here in california. ( If you live in a state that only needs a bill of sale, I will lower the price $500! Asking $12.500 located in the bay area california( always been here. Will help load onto a trailer or shipping company.
