Oem steel wheels should be here any day...along with hubcaps from Toyota.

New tires came in today too.

With the stock suspension back in, this should be a good catalyst for motivation to get it mechanically in order.

Octoberfest is out, too. Yum.

More tales from the crypt.

I drilled out the few rivets that were holding the sweet fender flares on . It revealed a disaster cut-job. They cut it too high, cutting into the wheel well and interior. The bummer with this, is they "welded" the holes best they could....and when water splashed in, they added a nice layer of silicon caulk over the welds to trap the moisture in.

Further, it appears that they ...for some reason or another, needed/wanted to weld the spring perches to the frame. The rivets are still in place, but now, they are accompanied by some splotchy chicken-turd welds I am in the process of trying to grind smooth.

I corrected the driver side, now working on passenger side.

Also, in my correspondence with the seller, I was to get a list of parts, to include the license plate lights and wiring. Here is a picture of the license plate lights he included for me.

More correcting, more issues, and more parts on order.

Question on the correct toolbag and tools.

I have been researching this today.

I was told photo 1 was the correct bag and toolset for my Jan/78 cruiser.

Photo 2 and 3 is what I have.

According to Tools, Tool Kits, Options and Accessories

Post number 36, both are wrong! (Last photo)

What is right?

Did you receive them from Toyota? Or a second hand site?! I would complain!!!! Get your money back or new parts free of charge!!

I'm a transplant from Michigan. Now that it's home, I can't imagine ever leaving here.

I would pack it up and put a brick on the pedal headed towards the sellers front door!!! How do wheels even get damaged that bad and why would they even be delivered in that condition. Feel for you Dallas, hang in there, it will get sorted.
