I’m pleased to report that there are no leaks. The Cruiser cranks very nicely. I made myself a punch list and called it a day.

I’m 2 days short of having it a month. Lots accomplished and a bit more to go.

IAC and TPS spot on.

The throttle cable was a bit sticky....

The Parking brake handle by the firewall is hitting the bent gas pedal. More bending incoming.

The alternator does not appear to be charging. I’ll dig a bit deeper into that tomorrow

Overall I’m incredibly pleased. I checked the steering both ways and it’s perfect. No rubbing. Same amount of turn in both directions.

Super tight.

Still shocked at how much work has been accomplished since @wngrog accepted the challenge. I remember telling him I just hoped to have it back in time for summer.......

Summer is the worst time to drive a 40 in the south. You need this thing back in your life now.

Knocking out my punch list.

I had to pull out the electric pump. All the moving around and locating I did on the 90s made them loose. There was a hint of gas. Done.

The pedal needed to be bent a bit to the left to clear the parking break. While I was in there I added a new cable that had the proper Sniper end connections.

It’s butter smooth now.

Also got this hard to find hose clamp and some clamps for the tool kit installed from Classic Cruisers.

Everything is smooth as silk.

Mosley is sending me another alternator until he can get this one repaired.

The sniper does not draw much so I can still do some driving once I get the brakes bled.

Spent some time with my bride mid day shopping for old crap and the local reclaimed house store.

Got home to a sweet box of City Racer toys

Got the seat back in. I had to clearance the bottom of the seat and add a spacer to the rear on one side to comfortably clear the fuel lines. Luckily with the big ole Cush seats you can’t tell it’s got the 1/2” lift kit.

So, one thing.....if Lockwood hates the smell of Fluid Film he might have the sell this thing

I’m treated the faded seat belts with it. I’m anxious to see how this looks after it soaks in. My bet they look like new. All the other faded rubber parts look new after soaking in this stuff

The Amby door light harness has been clipped clean so I had to get that hooked up for lights on the tag.

I know it’s supposed to pass through the white grommet but they always bunch up in there

Now I’m cleaning up after the framers and enjoying a little bonfire

Got a couple hours in this morning before Red showed up and has me farming. The weather here is amazing today finally.
Had to replace the cig lighter. The base was rusted away. That’s a nice Little bit of gymnastics to reach it. Had to pull the ashtray and luckily there is no radio.

Also, I picked him up a work light and got it going

If you don’t have one of these test lights, get one. Not only it is a tester, it gives voltage, has a bright LED and the best part, a trigger that will send 12 volts to something to test if it actually works

I started in on the brakes using my pressure bleeder on the rears to pump out all the black fluid. We did not do the rear brakes this time but they will be in a possible v2 project down the road

Line em up. Age before beauty

Weenie 3, Mustard 78 and Project Patina ..... the one that brought me back in. Today is the 3 year anniversary of getting her road worthy.
Turn your phone sideways to see the build thread in my signature. The amount of Cruiser knowledge dropped in that thread my some of the most mighty is bookmark worthy.
