IburnBread.... urgent plea to you.... PLEASE don't paint it. Leave it as - is and clear coat it since you've cleaned up the rust spots and removed the red. That is a KILLER look; and if you paint it it is gone forever; anyone can paint a 40... only a few can have a look like this. My $0.02.

Well, first go buy a lot of oven cleaner. If you really hate yourself go to harbor freight and get the 110lb red piece of crap blaster. They sell pretty good medium there as far as I’m aware. I really only ended up blasting to break up the paint.I’m curious about this as well !
