1976 FJ55 Rebuild

Dad Looking very happy while lifting the engine out. I didn't realise it would be so heavy!
What have other done to remove the paint and rust from the body/chassis? I was going to get the body sand blasted but i can get a wet sand blaster for a similar price. Has anyone used one on a truck before? how did it go and recommendations?

I would be concerned a "wet" system would just set you up for rust as soon as you removed the old paint.

Removing bolts - try heating it a bit , use paraffin (canning) wax . That wax will get sucked into the threads as it cools , they usually come right out .
Wet blasting is nice to avoid all the dust , but you have to be prepared with some sort of metal treatment as soon as it's done - or the whole thing will flash rust badly .
