Ron inspired me to go ahead and post up pics of my gauges from Speedhut

Hmm, the pic is right side up on photobucket. If you stand on your head while viewing, you'll get a good idea of what they look like

Gauges look good! I had a hard time with all the choices. They can match every personal taste.

Are you going to need the add-a-leafs, since you're higher than expected with the longer shackles?

They really have a ton of options. Navigating all of them was the hardest part, but I have gauges I think I'll be really happy with. I got a little crazy and added a biohazard symbol to the speedo and a zombie hand to the quad gauge. You laugh now, but when the zombies come, you'll be thinking "Rodney was right!"

As for the add a leaf, my understanding is it's mostly for added stiffness. Apparently the spring over will quickly flatten out your stock leaf pack. When i put in the add a leaf, I had Jessi leave out the bottom couple of short leafs from the pack, so I don't think the add a leaf will add much height

A little damage to the tailgate

Well, maybe more than a little

Tailgates done

New Engine mounts are done

We repurposed the original nv4500 cross member with a provision to bolt it to the Advanced Adapter.

Crossmember mounts

Liquid Iron Industries Leaf spring sliders to replace the shackles and try to get the pig out of the clouds

It's coming along! Looking forward to see your progress. Those sliders go on both the front and back springs, right?

Yes Ron, I'm replacing all 4 shackles

For NV4500 mount, are you using stock NV4500 bushing?

No, he said he was going to have to fabricate a new bushing for where the crossmember will attach to the adapter

I don't know if he tried to connect the crossmember directly to the adapter to be honest. I called Advanced adapters and let them know what we were trying to do, and they said we would need to fabricate a piece to go between the crossmember and the adapter and he was going to then make a custom bushing to go between this piece and the advanced adapter. It's entirely possible we made this more complicated than it needed to be.

Made a bit of progress. Suspension is done (for now) and the engine, transmission and TCase are bolted up. I'm now at 25.5" to the bottom of the frame rail. A definite improvement and once everything else is added, I should be below 25". Still a big step up, but I'll see how it works. If i'm still too high, I may have to take out my add a leaf and see how she rides with just stock springs.
