The good news is that Mavis is a transition year and is already all 10mm
Well I spoke a bit too soon.

I thought 10mm meant it used 10mm wrench size.

And of course it's 9.0 x 1 thread and I had to destroy the end on the 6 inch tube under the battery tray.

Crap.

Now to dig myself out of this hole. Never should have started this job

Hope this does the trick.

I built the line I needed, but ran into a slight problem. The line was hanging up about 1/3 of the way from the threaded end and would not go through. Looked at them, and there is a raised line caused by a drill, as if they drilled them almost all the way through but stopped. Found a bit that fit tightly and drilled the rest of the way through and it fit properly.

The Capri double flaring tool works well, though a guy needs to really torque down the tool body to stop the tubing go back out.

Well, brake bleeding is finally done.

Those hand held vacuum bleeding tools are somewhat less than worthless if you are doing anything but the smallest job.

I finally got my lovely bride out into the single digit cold and had her work the brakes while I bled.

Got it good enough for now, will bleed it again once it warms up a bit.

BTW, slightly spongy pedal works really good on pack ice.

Next up is to work on fixing the doors up

I figured at that cheap of a price, what can I lose.

It's come to the fact that no mechanic in my area will now touch alignment on my rig.

So I'll do it myself.
