Yeah, it's just a tad too long, my thoughts also. Correct, no heater on this truck.

Hi guys, what great attention to detail! Digging the orange homage.

Can you please help me out and tell me where you found those 9mm brake bleeders?

@Rock40 will have to answer that, but I thought those were my stock ones (brake bleeders). Maybe not. I know I bought the complete brake line kit from SOR.

Well, do you mean on the wheel cylinders? Those are actually just the factory bleeders and Jason bought the cylinder kit from SOR. I went down and pulled a bleeder this morning in order to check the size. Instead of a 9mm, it's actually an M10x1.25 bleeder, about 34.75mm total length. With that in mind, a Russell Speed Bleeder (639610) would likely work great. I've used Speed Bleeders on other builds and I love them.

I did also verify that the brake line unions/fittings on the 66' are indeed 9mm. I suspect the original wheel cylinder bleeders may have been also but were "updated" at this point. If you have 9mm bleeders in your wheel cylinders, there is unfortunately no Speed Bleeder option.

Thanks guys. Not what I wanted to hear, but all good! Dan

Just a quick note here, that @Rock40 and I ran into this week. If your going with the DUI distributor (Performance Distributors), make sure you purchase their Live Wires (plug wires) with it. I had purchased a set of upgraded stock wires early on in this build (prior to the DUI purchase)with higher temp jackets and the spiral wound cores thinking they would work. No go!

Oil filter mount and oil line routing is complete. Took a variety of 4AN fittings but it’ll clear the factory exhaust

Also started to route and create the main fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb. I don’t have the proper M10x1.0 carb fitting at this point to complete it but the routing is clean and simple

That threaded hole that is at eye level with the throats of the exhaust is for the pivot bolt of the stock rod linkage. You might want to chase the threads and install that bolt while it's easy to get at in case Jason decides to go back to the 1bbl carb one day.

Ahh, thanks Mark. I wondered what that pivot was for.

No problem. I am enjoying doing a little coaching from the sidelines on this build.

I was thinking about it a little last night. I have to say I'm really glad this build didn't end up in my lap, as my renovation and restructuring have not left me with the time that it would have taken to do a build like this justice. It looks like Jason made a really good choice with you.

Driveshafts are in.... one step closer unfortunately the last batch of plating has been delayed another 2 weeks or so

I'm fortunate to live close enough to this rig that I'll be able to slobber all over it when it's done.......figureativly of course.:hmm::bounce::bounce:

Haha. I love it. Dave- when it’s back you can come hang out, and help re-assemble or wait till it’s complete. Up to you bud.

Jason-

Replaced the rear passenger side motor mount so now the High/Neutral/Low transfer pivot works correctly

Made the final 4AN line for the Weber

Now going over everything again in order to source the final bits of mounting hardware. The Weber will sit like this
