Here is that other res...
Resizeres01.jpg

Steve, that res looks like what was on my 82. When I did the search on partsamerica I put in '81. I don't have a clue what works for 78-79. His wife put all that effort into cleaning that earlier res and he made the mounts for it :frown:

matt just got back from moab. looks like you are going to be done before i get back to the bush lv at the end pof the month! the parts look to have cleaned up pretty good.

Not a huge day on the lv today, although pretty much spent the day working on and off in between mowing the yard and other misc. things.....

Pretty much spent the enitre day painting parts. Had to spray white and back tape a few things to shoot the beige.....got everything cleared after that. Ended up being a lot of hours painting. Even got my rear tailgate emblem cleared.

Putz'd around the lv a bit today....Since I had it outside I thought I better take a couple pics in the sun :)

Ok Matt man....

If you ordered that aftermarket pump, and find that it will not work with the res that you have....that is because you have the 78-79 res...and the goofy pump....

I posted up the wrong part number earlier on this topic for the OEM pump...

I found today, while digging through some things, the res that will work with that aftermarket pump...

SO...

If you need the later res, let me know and I will get it sent off to you!

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the info.....I did order that other pump that Cruiserken recomended. I guess I'll wait until is shows up and take a look at it.

If it doesn't work out, I will be getting a hold of you an a pump ;)

Thanks, Matt

It is truly a creation of beauty!

I have looked at every picture and have to ask, Where in the heck does that stair case go to????

My bet it is a stairway to heaven - Buck's restoration skills are divinely inspired.

Looking awesome!

That's hilarious. I was sitting here wondering the same thing. I guess the stairs would help you load up a roof rack on an RV or something, but they are pretty high. Hmmm...just how deep does the snow get up there?;)

That is how he used to get into his house. ;)

No s***.

Absolutely nothing got done on the lv today........I woke up this morning and some sort of stomach flu or intestinal flu hit me hard.

I have no clue what caused it, but it has been a day from hell. As I sit here and type I'm still soar and fricking wore out. Needless to say, there was no way I could work on the lv today, let alone barely walk........

As far as the stairs is concerned Poser is right, that's how I used to get into my house. Hard to explain without pics, but I had my house designed my a local architechual desing teacher in town. I built my house myself and I want to build the 1st half first and then the 2nd half about 5 years later. In doing this I was able to run all the plumbing, heating and electrical to the west end in the correct areas because I had the entire print in front of me. For 5 years on the westside of my house that's how I got into the living quarters on the 2nd level.....it was not accesable from the inside of the house.

After 5 years I continued adding on....it was more like finishing than an addition because everything went perfect, pretty much just started builging again. The goal was to keep the bank out of the whole thing, just trying to save a buck and the wife and I didn't need all that space right away.

The stairs was unbolted from the west side of my house and I moved it over there with a loader tractor. Been sitting there for about 2 years, I think this summer I'm going to move it and make some sort of children's fort or play area out of it.

Hope you feel better soon bud!

Good idea - use it for your kids (if you have any) or donate it. Heck, my first thought was that it was some kind of fancy deer stand. I bet some hunter would pay to take it off your hands....

Took the day off from work today.....since I felt like someone had beat me with a bat.. After laying around until about 2 pm I got up and started bolting on a few of the easy parts.

I cut out new gaskets for the door handles with that rubber I got last week. Just used the old ones for a template, seemed to work good. Installed all the door handles, all seemed to go well there.

Bolted on the hood latches, also the attenna and side grill. Even got the bezel bolted on.....

Doesn't seem like much, but I wasn't moving that fast today either.......
