Anybody know if there is somebody reprinting these stickers for the oil filter housing? This of course is not mine in the picture...

My local powder coater had a guy beautifully patch up a hole in my breather from a previous carb swap with some excellent tig sending! Fresh powder goes a long way. Carb and linkage hooked and air cleaner on.

Got my oil filter bracket sorted out and the new SOR lines installed. Added some new juice with the Oddessey battery, and then got an order from @cruiseroutfit with a new set of tie rod ends and clamps!

I’m some fluids and a set of fuel lines away from cranking it back up!

They can’t all be diamonds...installed fuel lines, then filled it up with coolant for the first time last night. Walked in this morning to coolant all over the floor. Looks like lower housing didn’t seal as it was pouring out of the bottom. Tightening it didn’t fix it. Pulled it cleaned everything added a new gasket, some Indian head, torqued and now I wait to see what tomorrow looks like.

Anybody have a lower tstat housing? Found why mine is leaking. Trying to modify a newer housing but the holes don’t line up.

Before my thermostat housing sprung a massive leak I got to crank it up. Needs tuning and running but pleased with first run!

Need a lower tstat housing dead in water till I source one. Anybody have one let me know!!!

Got a lower tstat housing and the engine running pretty good. Today it was rust converter, stole the km3s from my 60, and scored some bug catcher windows and early jack from @pardion. Fenders should go on tomorrow. Then a test drive...hopefully

Dangit I get on here every few years.... I have had 3 fj 45 lwbs over the years. I hibernate on an island and even moreso now. Always loved this picture of my wife driving my last one around our property. I don't mean to hijack this person's thread I just don't see how to start a new one. I'm 67 yrs old and computer challenged.

Finally got truck up and running for a test drive this weekend! Discovered oil leak on my regulator (yes I probably over tighten) , leak on the bottom of my filter housing, and then vacuum leak coming from transfer case hard lines. They are roached pretty bad. All in all though it drove great, was a blast to drive, and everything I found will be fixed next weekend. 33” km3s are what it needed.

Today I did a headlight upgrade in the post below. For $55 you get the lights, wiring harness with relays, a bag full of zip ties, and some grease. Best value of any Toyota product no doubt. My brights aren’t working so that will be next, but that went in great and look even better. I did decide to cut to fit and resolder on harness because they give you SO much wire.

Sometimes the little things make the difference like the City Racer hood rubber.

How did you end up getting the harness tied into the old school harness

I cut the main plug of the harness off, added ends that fit into main panel on passenger side fender. Just put them where the 3 factory wires went. Simply using it as a trigger because power is coming from battery with relays. Disconnected everything from drivers side panel that deals with headlights because not needed.

Tore into transfer case vac lines and they were seriously roached. Sourced a set of good lines from a 64 short bed 45 but not anywhere close to the same. So soft lines it is. New oil regulator installed and this thing is crazy quiet now.

@wngrog sourced an 8274 for me and it was off to the races. Also I have two high beam switches..no idea why but the OEM one works. I’ll be ripping other out. All my lights work great front and rear. So that’s a plus!
