But you’ve had SO much time to prepare for it, with all the deadbeat shops that kept you in limbo. My eyes love it, but my wallet is crying![]()
The seat mounts actually bridge over the cover and mount to the floor where it is reinforced.Wow!
Is your fuel tank cover doubling as your seat mount?
Photos in post 331 shows it in wider view, looks to be about on the same plane as the rear section of the tub floor:My eyes must be playing tricks on me. How tall is that cover?
That is correct. Same height as the rear floor. Seat brackets will bridge over the top of the shroud (barely) and be secured to the rear wheel tubs and floor forward of the tank cover.Photos in post 331 shows it in wider view, looks to be about on the same plane as the rear section of the tub floor:

Good suggestion Mark. I will make that change.Maybe it’s just me, but I would have cut through the standing seam in your last pic so that the brace marked #5 incorporated the sheetmetal below the wheelwell. Other than that, very sano layout. And props for ‘calling a spade a spade’ and just building the framework at the wheelwell. 90% of the guys on here struggle with lack of legroom, myself included.
Ha. I am 5'-10" and 250lbs. As wide as I am tall, some would say. It is a Corbeau GTS II so not really very skinny but it may look that way due to all of the extra space I have created redoing the factory floor and trans tunnel. That is the skinniest seat I have ever seen, is that a kids seat ? or are you a hobbit ?
