That is a cool pic, thanks. On early brochures I saw earlier LV's (and 35's?) that have a different rear fender.
Not much work done yet. First thing is getting it registered. After that we can kind of do what we want as long as we keep the chassis and body mostly original.
We removed the engine and will probably mount an early 70's F engine we have (for now). We started with some body work. We'll try to make a new rear sill so we have something to bolt the hinges of the lower hatch to. Probably the front axle is shot, cm's of play on the ongoing shaft. We have spare axles too.
We have to think what to do after that. We're kind of purists so we prefer to keep it original. But that means lots of work on the engine, drive train, brakes. Other ideas are putting 70 series axles on it, and maybe a newer engine 2F or 1FZ if we can find one? On LPG maybe? Diesel? Decisions for later...
First things first, we first have our 62 FJ40 to finish.
