Dallas, you are doing an awsome job with that truck. Keep up the good work and keep us posted with the progress. I need a good build thread to look forward to.

Database loss

Well, due to the database going down, we lost the paint process, and a few updates on the assembly. Oh well.

I will update pictures as we continue.

I am now fitting the fenders and hood. I test-fired the cruiser to verify I re-connected the wires properly.

First, photo backup:

Dallas

Man thats purdy with the clear (I assume) on the cowl and fender.

You're going to all this work and still thinking of putting it in the wind at some point?

That's going to be like cutting off an arm.

Looking great though.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments! I doubt I'll be selling it any time soon Legion, after what I just dumped into it.

Well, here is a weekend update.

I had to go buy another 125.00 worth of supplies as the Wanda base-coat paint ran out and doesn't cover very well at all.

Here we go again:

Then, I swung by Toyota and picked up an order placed last week.....

Now, in keeping with the original "look" the bib lamps were white lenses. I dug out my stash of white lenses including the ones that were in the vehicle.

I picked the best two of the bunch:

I cleaned and polished the best two:

As you can see here, amber lenses come new from Toyota:

Here I swapped them out. Up close they are not perfect, but are pretty dang close.

Installed them....

Next, I cleaned up the emblems and re-installed the emblems:

Installed the fender skirts:

Made sure they were laser straight before tightening down....

Installed new turn signals:

Installed a new grommet and ran wires:

Time for dinner!

Take care guys and thank you for staying tuned!

Have a great evening - Dallas

Looks great, man you do nice work.

Drool.

What kind of condition are the rear window rubbers in?
Mine are sad.

Thanks everyone, I am sure it looks better online. To the person doing the job, I can find a lot of little things that I need to fix here and there.

Dallas

A couple of points 1) only the painter knows where the defects are - everyone else is oblivious. - and b) I like to take a screwdriver and put a scratch in an out-of-the-way spot just so I don't feel bad when the inevitable happens
