63 fj45 short bed
$40k
Letting go of my 45, 62 fj45 by vin titled as a 63, solid cab, truck runs, drives, stops and looks pretty good. The cab forward was pulled about 10 years ago and painted,, at that time we put the motor out of my 71 fj55 in it, has a weber carb and has been converted to 3 on the floor. Have all the parts to go back to on the tree. Brakes are all new and put in the newer cruiser wheel cylinders replaced all brake lines with correct fitting to update to new wheel cylinders. Drum all the way around still. Its not a perfect restore rig its a daily driver. I use it to go hunt, and cruise around town. The seats have all been redone. Its a sharp looking truck. Very early vin number truck. Took me 15 years to find the correct drivers inside door handle. Still has the imprinted landcruiser bezel, single mirror on drivers side. With rear slide windows. Pretty close to a stock truck. Brand new toyo tires with maybe 60 miles on them.
The cons
The bed has rust as it sat from 86 tell 2004 in Southern Oregon and had plywood with carpet covering the bed floor, it is salvageable but needs metal work. We did some quick patches 10 years ago to be able to paint and make look good going down the road with the intention of removing the bed to have it fully rebuilt. It leaks oil as it sat and some of the seals have dried and worn. But I've seen some cruisers way worse off. If you have a nice driveway you want to park it in the gravel, or it will mark its territory.
Needs to go to a home where someone will give it the love and attention it deserves. To me its a truck and I use it as such, but I have multiple cruisers and they can't all get the attention and financial backing they need. So thinning out the collection and also will be moving in the near future and can't take all my rigs. Located in Eastern oregon can help with getting to a bigger town for shipping if needed. Clean title in hand. Been in my family since 72 and its time for someone else to have it in there collection. The 60 in the last picture is also available for sale at $7500 and the 55 is possibly available if someone wants to throw a number out.
