1961 FJ45LV?

Found this interesting JDM brochure recently that made me scratch my head. You’ll notice it says 1961 Toyota motor guide - well it has a 45LV in it. I thought they didn’t start making them until 1963? Check out the 20 series wheels and bumper. Maybe JDM got them a few years earlier than NA? Interestingly this one has photos of both the FJ25 and the “new” FJ40 too.

Now wouldn't that be cool. A sky garage full of FJ's and you could go out each morning, punch a button and be served up the Landcruiser of your choice! All clean and ready to go!

There have been a couple of early 1961-1962 models discovered in the USA. I remember seeing some info in here somewhere.

@Land Cruiser Junky sent me a couple of photos of some early LV's in Colombia that had been posted here after I showed him the brochure, pasting them here for thread completeness... I wonder what kind of funky features these ones had inside?

Looks like one windshield wiper? And an odd looking roof on the green one?

This one has GOT to be a '61. It looks exactly like the one in the '61 brochure.

Interesting that on both of these early LVs the filler neck is on the passenger side.
