Hi Guys
I went to see a friend I went to school with.been out 32 years. He works at local Toyota Dealershipin
Anderson ,In. I pulled in car lot and had salesman , service personal , parts guys all coming out to see what I was driving. All thought it was an FJ40. Most did not know about FJ25 s at all. Had a good time
talking and having the guys look it over. Got parts guy checking out old parts books maybe we will have some luck. Have not done anything new to 25 hardtop latey, just haveing fun driving it as is for now.

Hi Guys , Been a while, still driving the 25 daily, dont go anywhere fast but still get there.
I still need the brackets and rollers for the bi-fold rear door, also looking for wiper arms and blades
for my vacume wipers,
Thanks Bill

don't know if vacuum is the same as the electric motors, but here's aftermarket info for the electric dual motor style blades and arms
https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/32714-early-wiper-arm-part-number.html

The FJ25 did have vacuum wipers or at least most of them. A few had a early version of the TNK wipers with only two termials which meant you had to turn them off when they at the top of wiper. Didn't have extra + lead that would keep it running until it hit the top.

Hi Guys
Still haveing fun driving the 25 , my light switch for headlights quit working , need a replacement
if any one has a working one they want to sell. still need the rear brackets and rollers for my bi-fold rear hatch.
Thanks Bill

Hi Guys
I am going to try to post pictures of carbs, Jim they dont look just like the one you posted. I bought off a vender here on mudd that also sells on ebay , no names he told me these were off a early 25 or 40, think i did ok. I like they are different.

IIRC, The guy that listed those on ebay is a documented pathological liar.
Those are not Land Cruiser carbs of any sort. They are off old Stout/Corona/Crown.

If a dual carb manifold could be cobbled up to mount two of them, it would be sufficient for a Cruiser, plus it would be a 4-barrel carb package, FTW. :D

Even with the missing blue plate you can still not see the float. That's a give away that they were not off a Land Cruiser. Many be some day I find correct two barrel to with my early header to create a real power house. Until then I just have to get by with one barrel.

The Rodchester one barrel is a direct switch and allows you to keep the stock while setup while finding and rebuilding a stock carb. I have had a few cruisers come with them. My 68 came with a Carter one barrel carb. Can't say for sure if the height is right. The PO was using just the top piece of the air with along with a piece of metal he sandwiched a small filter between them. The whole thing hung off the neck of the carb. Every time I went off road the damn thing would come loose.:bang: That was soon replaced by a Holley 500 which is what Downey was recommending forty years ago. Then the Holley 350, a later two barrel, a early large glass one barrel and finally the correct small glass one barrel. That large glass one barrel replaced a Rodchester one barrel on my white 25. In another 100 years I should have all the correct parts for all my cruisers.:hillbilly:
