i have never seen the railing around the jumpseats before, hats the story with that, pretty interesting

Dope photos man, send me more if ya like :)

Standard seats for the FJ25. There is a bracket welded on the front of the wheel well for the front arm rest. The 61 FJ40 was even better it had two arms but at the height of the later ones just front and back. I guess I could post some pictures but will probably wait until I start to restore one of my 61s.

I have a set of rebuildable FJ25 master cylinders that I might part with if you decide to go back to original. I also might have the correct water neck and I know I have the correct upper radiator hose.

That is too cool!

The very early 25's had pointy turn signal lights. I don't think I have a decent picture, not sure if that's what they are or replacements. Any marks on them?

Jim C. was just posting about a big window two barrel here. If it's not the same one that's pretty amazing that turned up especially since we never got them here?

I did not see any markings on lens but wireing is not cut and looks original.
frame number 0FJ25-20856L eng. number F12268L model number 1961 FJ25LD
in picture of turn light there is a Bracket that has same looking rivits as frame, I rember a winch on the front when I was 16 a long time ago.

Hi Guys
It started out just buying a new valve cover gasket, after taking off valve cover I noticed I had avalve stuck open, could not get freed up, Now this engine was running good. So I pulled head and had a valve job done. With under 19,000 miles it looks great, Bought a F engine head gasket kit put it all back togather started it up ran good but, I didnot know the early F engine was different . Blew head gasket pulled head again and called SOR they told me they were different. Ordered the right head gasket set and got it all back togather , have not had time to fire it up yet . Been busy with Duck Unlimited and gun shop hope to get back on FJ next week.
Thanks Toy25ht Bill

Finally found the picture I was thinking of. I believe these are original, but they are earlier than what should be on yours. Marv could tell you for sure since it's hanging in his showroom/museum. I think yours may be aftermarket.

your engine bay looks great! Thanks for sharing your project here, I'm excited to see your progress.

Hi Guys
HELP, Tried to get FJ running today, Turns over great but getting backfire thru both carb and exhaust. I did not remove distributor are adjust carb or timming ck wires for right fireing order .was running fine before I had valve job done. I have built engines and done other mechinal work, Probably something easly, just Brain dead any ideas
Thanks Toy25ht Bill

So you adjusted your valves then it did not run?
Did it run well before?

I would check the point gap then check the timing. and go from there.
Seems like back firing is almost always timing , could be wrong :)

How old are your plug wires and plugs btw?
You getting 12V to the coil?

If you didn't adjust valves they need to be done, if so they may be too tight. Also a chance the plug wires were installed 180* off before (lazy man's solution to pulling the distributor).

Hi Guys
Checked points, Fried, was looking at vac advance distrubtor is says Delco Remey Anderson, Indiana.
I live 10 min. from Anderson In. Delco long gone. those of you with 25s , have Toyota Dist. or does anyone else have a Delco dist. in 25. I should look for a toyota dist. or convert to electronic no points type.
Thanks Bill
