someone asked me about a anco number for the wiper arms for a early dual motor 40/45, but i don't remember who. i've tried them out, and the part number is 41-01. this changes the blade mount to one like the middle 40/45's with the single upper wiper motor (the flat bar with a knob on it), so you don't have the funky wiper blades anymore. i don't remember the part number for the wipers for the middle years, so i'll try to figure that out sometime.

These are the part numbers I got from Cdan for my 65 Fj40:
Wiper arms: 85190-60061
Wiper blades: 85220-60030

It was me that was looking for early wiper arms (1962). I assume since you have tried them out that they actually work well.
Thanks for the information! :D

I actually havn't even gotten them yet but was going to soon. :)

yep...they do fit. the blades are an anco 30-11 winter blade or 20-12 summer blade.

pretty sure that why I ended up swaping to on my 45, just tried some stuff at the parts store will be found a winner. I "might" be using the original arms however, kinda think I am

I've got em and they're sweet. Just remember to file a flat spot on the motor stud and blue lock-tite all the set screws.

you'll know if you've got the original arms/blades...they're a bit of a screwed up design

this explains why the early wiper motors, arms and blades are still stocked by toyota. because they were used on the non US hinged window models up to 77

yep...that's the buggered design...extremely sloppy...guess i'll see how well they work in a few lifetimes when i finish the 45

I've replaced mine with new motors. Drives you nuts that the arms move independent of each other, although they come to rest together. Actually, it is kinda fun, in a funky way.
