Stupid American steel...

J code for life!

Not the steel. It was the lack of quality oversight by Dana Corp.

Just poor build quality? Not sure I ever really understood what the issue was. Bad welds? Poor prep prior to coating?

The issue was that Toyota outsourced the frame manufacture to the Dana Corp (made in US and all that jazz).

Dana Corp proceeded to forget one of the critical steps in rust proofing the frames. Hence, they were eaten up in short order.

Dana then declared bankruptcy around the same time as the bailouts to the automakers and Dana sold the frame manufacturing operation to it's own subsidiary in Mexico. Which Toyota now buys the frames from.

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

And, Toyota's own metal supplier's aren't the greatest either.

Not happening. I wouldn’t put that on a 2-Post lift. You’re going to need a torch to get those bumpers off. How’s the interior?

I wouldn't lift it either, but it runs great and interior is pretty dang good. I'm going to be using some of the interior in my 100 as well. Bumpers, sliders, and skids are off and all the Slee stuff held up great! Gonna get them repowder coated and roll.
