I'll add that to options to look out for. The 100 sits and rides a 1000 times better.

Tires are a huge personal decision. The looks and use of tire are important to a lot of people. There are many great choices get a price point and find the best tire.

CT will guide you on that magic carpet ride.
Adding to Bomar's sage advice: decide whether you want to stick with the 16" wheels before making a tire decision. You don't want to have to buy tires again, because you didn't realize that you really wanted 17s or 18s, etc.......

The old fella got some orthopedic work done this week at 49 tire. A few joint replacements and some Ironman/Emu to add back some spring in its steps. Man it is nice to have a Cruiser Shop in town that has the know how, skilled mechanics, and products in stock.

@AndyO78FJ40 Thank you very much for your business. We (@Denmomdeb @offr0adlim0 and I) really appreciate it. Thought the trucj turned out great. When you ready for some rubbers let me know.

Hey a little info I found out this weekend. The PWR button seems to add about 10 degrees in the temp in the trans. I have programmed the trans temp on my scan gauge and I played around with the button yesterday while road driving and Forrest road driving.

I have never felt a difference with the button pushed so I am not going to run with it off.

My info could be off so take it as you wish.

I searched, but WOW at the threads all with the same title. There has to be a definitive thread on my issue, but I can't find it. Can someone help?
My hunnerd has the "door lock issue". I've set my alarm off more than I'd like to admit, but I have tried to get in to the rig. I've replaced the key's battery and while it has extended my range of the key, it hasn't helped with the frequency at which pressing the UNLOCK button works. I have to hit it about 5-6 times to get in, and the LOCK has never worked. Per @euclid the LOCK either stopped working for him or never worked, I don't remember.
I know these keys are stupid expensive, but is it the key? Or the system? And Can I remove this stupid alarm system in the hunnerds? I doubt it, but that'd be awesome.
What's possibly wrong with my junk?

I believe all the PWR button does is move the shift points and doesn't allow the trans to go into OD. So the converter never locks and creates more heat.

Whats going on fellas, quick question.

I bought my 100 without a master key, today I had a locksmith cut and program a master key for the vehicle. His little computer device wouldnt recognize the vehicle so we tried manually programming the lock/unlock buttons. I used this procedure:

Remote Transponder Key Programming

I basically tried it for an hour or so straight. No Dice.

Im pretty sure why it didnt work... when you push the lock button on the driver door more than twice or so the locks do not fully turn, or turn at all. Its almost like they arent getting enough power. I have been meaning to replace the part in the locks that make them turn ( i forget what they are called).

Anyone else have any expierience with any of this? It is starting to drive me insane

Well the new key is a master key and it is programmed so it starts the car. I just can't get the lock and unlock buttons programmed and the automatic locks don't work either

I'm not sure if you read my post a few days ago, but you're describing close to my dilemma as well. No one responded. I'm not convinced it's the programming of the key, but maybe it is. Often when the fob DOES actually work, the drivers door will act half-power like you refer to. So i STILL have to manually unlock the door. Sometimes when locking from the door as I'm getting out, the drivers lock requires me to manually lock it. Not sure if the issue is in the driver door or not. But it drives me nuts when i set this dang alarm off.

The locks not locking is a part on the door locks themselves. There's a few threads on the main forum area on how to fix it. And I've seen some people in this forum talking about fixing it too. I forget what they are called. Maybe some one will chime in

That isn't the only issue, just part of the entire locking problem. I'll dig more in to that alone though.

Mines an 02 LC. The amazon reviews had folks with a 99 and an 03 LC saying it fixed theirs. Here's hoping. Id really like to get my keyless entry working. My 27 year old 4Runner has keyless entry. Kinda blows that my Cruiser doesn't. Hopefully the ones I ordered work. I don't want to have to return em and get the D
