..........When I take it in for my tire rotation, Chris is going to do an Amsoil Transmission flush for me. They have a machine at 49 Tire that does it.
Nolen, before you do this, check your transmission dipstick / owner's manual. On my '03 LX, it clearly says it's "lifetime" transmission fluid. Seeing that specification, I haven't checked into it much more, but I'd make sure what you plan to do is "acceptable" with Toyota standards, and if so, that the fluid is compatible. I had planned to change mine also, but whan I saw that specification, I left it alone.............just something to investigate on yours......

He's already checked the transmission, and please don't call him dipstick.

I have been looking into it. Mainly going on the fact that it says if used "hard" then you need to change it.

Yep, no dipstick on my '04 so basically I am trusting that it is OK.

I can't see any harm in putting a good quality fluid in there. I won't drop pan and change the filter, but with the pump style change you can get all new fluid in there.

Not sure if I will, but if I keep this one a while, I don't want that problem. If it had 200K on it, I might not change it...leave well enough alone and all that. But with only 100K I think it is a good move.

I know I'm in the minority here but I think that spruce green color is pretty cool. There is a light blue one in belhaven that I like a lot too.

I like this green color.

There's a navy blue one in Auburn that looks awesome. It's stock though.

I just spent almost an hour looking at hunnerd tech and pics. Getting bittin by the bug again..... bad.

Doesn't take much for it to happen....

X2. Maybe 13.5 I would guess.

It's funny what people not in the car business think things are worth. The common person sees an auto auction as a magical place where cars are near about given away. This may be true if you want an impala or a daewoo but believe it or not land cruisers bring a high premium. It's hard to get a "steal" when you have 5 other people bidding on it not to mention the many wholesalers that want to ship it over seas who are paying top dollar for them. I will buy as many 01 76k miles cruisers that you can find for 13.5k. By the way the price given to a fellow cottonlander was 2k off the advertised price. I'll let you get back to "Imagination Land" I've got work to due.
