After much deliberation, I have decided to sell my project. I have spent hundreds of hours on it, and thousands of dollars. I took a bunch of photos today. I would like to sell as a package. I think most of the hard to get parts are there, including a tailgate handle, thanks to Delancey. I am working too much these days building my businesses to spend time on the project. I even sold my airplanes because I was not flying enough to justify owning them. Look at my thread to get an idea of what has been done. I have lots of spare parts, including extra tailgate, I have all glass except the windshield, I have 8 extra doors, a 1972 frame with axles and a 2F engine that needs rebuilding, I have 2 original rims, one with an original tire. I will not bore you with the work done. If you are serious you will read my thread and you will know everything about it.

GA 55 left in woods for 20 yrs- 10/73 model

I hope he link to Dropbox works.

Hi,
Here’s a link to “landcruiser” in my Dropbox:

Dropbox - landcruiser

Best offer.

Sorry to do it, but the road widening is about to take my shop, and my schedule has been 100% work this year. My wood business is booming and I will continue to focus on it until I sell it. Unfortunately, the Pig needs to go to someone who has the time to take it to the finish line. I dont want it to sit around for 5 years and not get there.

James - I hate to hear this for sure, but from our short meeting, you certainly do have many irons in the fire. One thing I would consider before letting it go would be to realistically figure out what it would take to get it running/driving. Not finished to the level you had originally envisioned, but running and driving. I know one of your big expenses would be the weather stripping, would it be possible to reinstall your used stuff? Go with an inexpensive paint job and get to driving the thing!

Here’s my logic and what I plan to do, do the minimum to get it on the road (engine, brakes, etc..) and enjoy it for a while. I can then do improvements while driving it. Or heck, even a full frame off if I decide to down the road.

The truth is that you’ve done many things on yours that you will not be able to recoup your costs on, but you’ve made huge strides on getting it road worthy. From this point, go low budget and get it on the road. Instead of 8-10k, could you do it for 2-3?

Yep, running rigs usually fetch more than a project...
