'04 GX w/Nav....what are my options for aftermarket head units?

One of my shop managers has an 04 GX w/factory navigation

After seeing the audio/video setup in my 80, he now wants me to do the same for his ride.

Thing is, the factory nav touch screen also controls the climate, so I'm at a bit of a loss

How would I go about replacing the factory touch screen with an aftermarket HU and still retain climate controls?

You might need to switch to a non-nav HVAC setup, although I can't say if there are any special considerations when doing this.

The main reason non-nav is win if you know you are going aftermarket!

I contacted my local stereo shop about this last week. Any GOOD stereo shop can pull the HVAC circut board out of the factory head unit and re-install it back into the truck, giving you your factory HVAC controls and an aftermarket head unit.

I have enough crap in/on my dash now...and this was before the HAM install
