Love the bumper, no clearance issues at all. My fairlead, or the recovery points will be the first thing to hit, but no issues yet. I did hit the recovery points on an incline in Moab, but nothing a ratttle can couldn't fix...

Mike @ bumpitoffroad can probably change the location of where the fairlead is mounted. Hasn't been an issue yet...

What about that fairlead? Seems like it would be the first to hit.

Beast, can that be changed to come out the front like an ARB or is it impossible with the bumpers design?

Probably can. I believe he designed that with a front license plate in mind.

I think I lost about an inch, or so with the added weight (bumpers, sliders, rack), so will be going to the heavy rear coil springs and new shocks after the rear storage box
is installed, oh yea-and the headers $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...........................................:censor:

No. I found a loose bolt on the rack, after I tightened that down, vibration went away and the wind noise hasn't bothered me. I am going to leave it for now.
Might come up with something this winter...:meh:

Interested in what you come up with. I've got the 1.4 M FR rack which is shorter, but am using a Yakima fairing up front. Still more noise than I want, but then again I live in a city that was originally named "Gale City".

Front Runner Rails Compatible with Yakima Landing Pads & Control Towers?

My bet: Most of your noise is coming from your Yakima towers, exposed outer bar ends and a fairing that doesn't ramp enough air. I made my fairing full width and attached it to the front top portion of the FR rack with nut-serts and adjustable metal "struts". Its about 95% as quiet as compared to just the OEM roof rack...

Tried it w/ and w/o Yak rack and about the same.

Do you have any pics of yours you can post?

Like to see what you have, might try it and then use Yak rack as needed.

Thanks.

Mine's the full length FR. Maybe you need to replicate mine so the wind is pushed up and over the rear portion of your roof. I would have guessed it would be relatively quiet sans the Yakima...but obviously the FR is not in the wind shadow.

I think somebody on here said using a bungee cord wrapped around your yakima bar, so it resembles a candy cane, and hooked on both ends works to reduce wind noise. Haven't tried it though.

Or maybe remove the Yakima bar and wrap the front of the rack. :hhmm:

^ do your drawer bottoms rub the tailgate as you pull them in/out - mainly when fully extended?

I have the same drawers and discovered my tailgate must not completely open down 90 degrees so with the drawer like they are (flush with the bottom of the cargo floor) they rub some as they are pulled in/out.
