Does anyone know if the ring and pinion from a non ADD diff is the same for and ADD diff? It seems the only difference is the needle bearings in the ADD. Which I believe is actually part of the carrier and the housings are identical. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

R&p should be the same. It seems like the non add (with lock out hubs) use a bushing instead of tge needle bearings to support the axle shafts. Im guessingsince add spins all the time they use bearings

That's my guess as well, although what looks like a bushing in the non ADD is actually part of the carrier casting. Not a removable bushing, otherwise I would just swap them.

This is my first real adventure into IFS. I've been around solid axles my whole life.

I wheeled the piss out of mine. 37's dual cases and a arb. I never broke a cv. I broke 1 r&p due to my bad setup. And had another fail because the installer forgot to stake the pinion nut. Mostly I bent steering parts.
