Ran across this on theToyota press-site...even though it is initially for the Tundra, the last paragraph caught my attention:
https://pressroom.toyota.com/toyota-unleashes-the-trd-performance-package-power-up-option-for-tundra/
"Initially, the TRD Performance Package will be offered on new...
Hello,
Planning on a used GX460. Was looking at a web page that listed best and worst year GX460's. 2018 was not in either list. Is there a "worst" year for the GX460?
Heres the bloated 200 next to the 250..... Id almost venture to say the 250 platform size is going to better the 80 when it comes to the ideal offroad platform base to build upon. The big question will be weight. I think the 300series is coming in at close to 6000lbs. 200s at 5900lbs...
Picked up a 2017 GX460 a few months ago. Started going to town on it this month. Not an overlander, just like to explore trails and have fun.
Tires: 255/80/17 Falken Wildpeaks
Wheels: FJ cruiser 17x7.5 ET15 no spacers
Front Bumper: Victory 4x4 Strike Aluminum 70lb minus40 lbs of oem weight...
Weirdest thing, I was driving and out of nowhere my dome light switched on. It was set to come on when the door is opened. It just randomly comes on and goes off as I drive with no apparent relation to speed or bumps in the road. The door open door warning light or chime does not come on, which...
So I purchased my 2010 GX a little over 2 years ago. After a little time I noticed the dash had a small bulge near the passenger speaker. I didn’t give it much mind, and wasn’t even sure it was something wrong… as of late it has gotten a little more bulgy and other parts of the area appeared to...
Howdy! I’m Sean from southen Utah. I recently picked up a 06 GX470 that tried to go swimming but drowned:(. I did a heart transplant and got her back on her feet. Lucky for me it already had the eibach stage 1 lift(plan on upgrading!). 35’s, 4.88 gears and non Nav. Has 176,xxx original...
Hi. I've been reading this forum for a while, but this is my first time posting.
I've been enjoying my GX for almost 2 years now, and hope to keep it for a long time. I'm looking forward to absorbing more information here.
Hello everyone!
Current owner of a 2011 GX 460. Had it since 2019 and currently have 155,000 miles on it.
Just some basic mods done so far:
tires that can make use of the full time 4WD
removed the 3rd row
installed a homemade drawer system in place of the 3rd row (mainly tool storage)
Bought...
Hey everyone. Happy to be back. I was on this forum briefly when I owned my 5th gen 4Runner. So on to the discussion.
I’m on a waitlist with my local dealer. I’ve place a refundable deposit on either the First Edition or Land Cruiser Trim.
I currently own a Canyon AT4X, which is fun to drive...
Hey guys,
I am curious if anyone has used non vvti manifolds or DT headers on a VVTI engine? The SAIS has already been bypassed, so theoretically they should work fine? Found a set of LT's non vvti and a Y pipe for sale brand new, so trying to determine if theyll work or not..
Greetings,
I just need some affirmation of what I think I am already going to do. I currently own a 2003 100 Series with 275k miles that I've had for about 7 years. Prior to that I had a 2000 100 for about 7 years. I also own a 2015 GX with 180k miles that I've had since 60k miles (wife's DD)...
I hear that all GX460s are wired for the front illuminated door sills... I also hear that only the 2010-2013 models were prewired and not the newer ones.
Can anyone confirm? I have a late 2021 (built 7/21) and would like to add these in.
Thanks.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
After 6 years of watching my wife drive out 2014 GX, I have taken it over as my primary vehicle. When we bought it I knew this day would come where I could build something I wanted.
Huge thank you to everyone that has contributed to this site. I’ve spent the last few...
We’ve been looking for a GX460 for my wife, and I’ve found one that checks all the right boxes (color, price, mileage, etc.) except living it’s first two years in Indiana.
It's a 2012 with approximately 160,000 miles, regular approximate 10,000 mile oil changes according to myLexus service...
For those of you that are attending or want to attend Cruiserfest this year Toyota will be bringing the two pre production vehicles to display. Details on the photo below.
Why in the world did they put it toward the driver when the steering wheel has it already? GX has it right in the middle...
Other markets are going to get it down on the lower right which while not ideal is better...
Best pic I could find... Also some had asked what that blank is and its for...
