After struggling to find Saloon Door latch pins for 40 series in good shape for a project it was suggested that I make my own. Here’s what I ended up putting together. In kit form, I upsized the threaded pin to 6mm for more strength from bending at its connecting point like the factory version...

Tiny clamps, one section at a time. Start in the upright position and do top of doors, then lay flat to do bottom in the same manner. Lay generous line of adhesive. Helps to lay gaskets out overnight on the door with a heater on the night before.

When I turn sharply right, the doors unlock and the dome light turns on briefly. I can also hear a long peep. I suspect some sensor on one of the left doors. Any clue or experience? Thanks
